Hey Key Club! We will have a very special meeting Monday March 8th. We will discuss important dates and many new service projects. We will also have yummy ice cream! See you then.
Congratulations to all three concert bands on outstanding performances at the Metro State College festival held yesterday. The concert and symphonic bands earned solid excellent ratings, while the wind ensemble earned a unanimous superior rating.
“Attention seniors…the Warrior Week Staff vs. Seniors Basketball Game is fast approaching. If you are interested in playing in this annual classic, please pick up an application from Mr. Brandberg, Mrs. Lee or your senior class president Stephanie Curtis. Hurry – the applications are due by this Thursday, March 4th. Please see Mr. Brandberg, Mrs. Lee or Stephanie Curtis for further questions.”
Don’t miss the Winter Choir and Orchestra Concert tonight. The Concert features the Choralettes, Arapahoe Singers, Symphonic Orchestra and the Concert Choir with special guests The Colorado Choir. It’s at 7:00 in the theatre and admission is free.
Attention all students: CSAP testing for Freshmen and Sophomores will begin Monday, March 8th through Thursday, March 11th. Room assignments will be posted today in the Cafeteria and Trophy Hall. Please check your room assignment in advance and come to the Attendance Office if you have any questions.
Come Join the Jump Rope Club. The jump rope club begins meeting tonight from 6-7pm. No experience necessary! Come out for some fun, learn new tricks, and get in shape. See Mrs. Abner if you have any questions.
Printing in the library has changed! Papers will be automatically printed two-sided.
The first two pieces of paper are free. Each piece of paper beyond two will cost ten cents per page.
*This will probably save you money. **If you need to print single-sided only or something special like a brochure, see one of the library staff members for assistance.
Athletics
The boy’s basketball team fought to the end last night and came out with an exciting win over Denver East last night. They are now going to take on Regis in a “Great 8” game on Friday, March 5th at 7:00 pm at the Denver Coliseum. Ticket prices will be $8 for adults and $6 for students. Look for more information given at lunches today in the cafeteria regarding Spirit buses that will be offered to take students to and from the game. Go Warriors
Auditions for the 2010-2011 Tom Toms team will be on March 16th through March 19th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. A mandatory parent/athlete meeting will be held on March 8th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the forum. If you are interested in auditioning for the team, please attend the meeting on March 8th
Good luck to the Boys’ JV Lacrosse Team as they open their season on Thursday, March 4 at Smoky Hill High School. Go Warriors!
Hey Warriors! Are you interested in possibly becoming a member of the Arapahoe Cheerleading Program? If so, please plan to attend an informational meeting with your parents on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the AHS Forum. The meeting is mandatory for all students interested in trying out for a spot on the 2010-2011 JV and Varsity teams. See Mrs. Pramenko if you have any questions!
