“Attention seniors…the Warrior Week Staff vs. Seniors Basketball Game is fast approaching. If you are interested in playing in this annual classic, please pick up an application from Mr. Brandberg, Mrs. Lee or your senior class president Stephanie Curtis. Hurry – the applications are due by this Thursday, March 4th. Please see Mr. Brandberg, Mrs. Lee or Stephanie Curtis for further questions.”
Don’t miss the Winter Choir and Orchestra Concert on Wednesday evening. The Concert features the Choralettes, Arapahoe Singers, Symphonic Orchestra and the Concert Choir with special guests The Colorado Choir. It’s at 7:00 in the theatre and admission is free.
Class of 2010: If you ordered graduation announcements you can pick them up Wednesday, March 3rd during lunch in the cafeteria.
Attention all students: CSAP testing for Freshmen and Sophomores will begin Monday, March 8th through Thursday, March 11th. Room assignments will be posted on Wednesday in the Cafeteria and Trophy Hall. Please check your room assignment in advance and come to the Attendance Office if you have any questions.
Come Join the Jump Rope Club. The jump rope club begins meeting on Wednesday nights from 6-7pm. No experience necessary! Come out for some fun, learn new tricks, and get in shape. Jump Rope Club begins on Wed. March 3rd. See Mrs. Abner if you have any questions.
Printing in the library has changed! Papers will be automatically printed two-sided.
The first two pieces of paper are free. Each piece of paper beyond two will cost ten cents per page.
*This will probably save you money. **If you need to print single-sided only or something special like a brochure, see one of the library staff members for assistance.
Athletics
There will be a boys lacrosse post-tryout meeting for all parents tonight at 7:00 pm in Classroom E9.
Auditions for the 2010-2011 Tom Toms team will be on March 16th through March 19th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. A mandatory parent/athlete meeting will be held on March 8th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the forum. If you are interested in auditioning for the team, please attend the meeting on March 8th
The boy’s basketball team will continue down the road of playoffs by hosting Denver East in the “Sweet 16” Round of the State Playoffs tonight at 7:00 pm in the Sitting Eagle Gymnasium here at Arapahoe. Tickets will be pre-sold on during 1st and 2nd lunch in the cafeteria. Ticket prices will be $8 for adults and $6 for students. The gym will open at 6:00 pm for admission to the game. CHSAA and CHSCA passes will be accepted but no student or league passes. Go Warriors!
Hey Warriors! Are you interested in possibly becoming a member of the Arapahoe Cheerleading Program? If so, please plan to attend an informational meeting with your parents on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the AHS Forum. The meeting is mandatory for all students interested in trying out for a spot on the 2010-2011 JV and Varsity teams. See Mrs. Pramenko if you have any questions!
