General Announcements
Happy Wacky Tacky Wednesday! Hope you eat lots of Laffy Taffies! Tomorrow is Sports Day, so gear up, make the play, and bump, set, spike it, cuz that’s the way we like it! Or, just wear your favorite team’s jersey!

On Friday September 17th, the Homecoming Football Tailgate hosted by Link Crew will begin in the west student parking lot at 4p.m. Activities include water balloon volleyball, Baker ball, face painting, dance offs, and hula hoop contests. Bring $3 to cover the cost of hot dog, chips, soda, and a one way bus ride to the Varsity football game.

If you are unscheduled 3rd hour on Thursday, and would like to come down, the theatre movement class will be giving a performance of the hip-hop dance routine they learned from an artist at the Denver Center Theatre Academy. We will be rehearsing for a majority of the period and give the final performance about 10 minutes before class is over (10:20.)

Tomorrow during lunch, student council will be putting on some wacky minute-to-win-it activities in the middle of the cafeteria! And don’t forget, tonight is the bonfire in the middle of the baseball field at 7pm. Make sure you come to this annual event – its gunna be hot

Attention all Art Club Members! We will be meeting after school today to finish up all our float stuff.

Saturday is the Homecoming Candy Land Dance in the main gym from 8-11 pm. Tickets are on sale for $10 during lunch or $15 at the door! This dance is semi formal. Saturday is also the Homecoming Parade at 10am in the West Lot. You can check out all the different floats and watch the band and color guard perform! See you there!

Hey Freshmen Warriors! Are you ready for Homecoming? Come join Link Leaders on Wednesday after school in the cafeteria for the T-shirt decorating party! There will be free cookies and T-shirt decorating supplies! Just bring your Homecoming T-shirt and join us in this Homecoming tradition! See you there!

Homecoming T-shirts are on sale all week in the cafeteria during both lunches for just five dollars. Spirit beads and tattoos are also on sale for only 25 cents

Hey juniors and sophomores the PSAT Test is coming! When……October 13th! Sign up for the test begins September 27th! Mark the dates!

“The first meeting of the Arapahoe Technology Student Association or “TSA club” will be this Thursday, Sept 16 after school at 2:30 in Room E6. If you are interested in fun Leadership Opportunities, Technology Problem-Solving activities, and hands-on projects like bridge building, CO2 cars, imaging technology, graphic design, and much more…. this club is for you! See Mr. McMullen in E6 for questions. Be sure to bring your wooden TSA coin for a delicious free cookie”

Please take the time to check the Library Overdue lists located on the bulletin boards in the north and south hallways and in the library. Check periodically to make sure that you don’t have a fine or overdue book. These lists are updated weekly. Thanks Warriors!

Athletics
Congratulations to our Warrior Cheers! Both the JV and Varsity teams competed last Saturday at the Spirit Fest Competition at Elitch Gardens. The varsity took the top 5 spots in the Stunt Group Division, and the JV team took first place in the JV Division. Come out and support our Cheers at fall sports as well as their next competition on Saturday, October 16th at Chaparral High School.

Congrats to the freshman and Varsity Volleyball teams for their wins last night against Mountain Vista. Volleyball plays their homecoming matches tomorrow night against Arvada West. Game times are 4:00, 5:00, and 6:15. Come help cheer the team to victory!

Congratulations to the varsity golfers who took 3rd place out of 25 teams at the Air Force Academy and 4th place out of 17 teams at Indian Tree. Congrats to the JV golfers who took 2nd place out of 12 teams at Indian Tree and 2nd place out of 8 teams at Broken Tee.

Any Junior or Senior Athlete interested in competing in Athletics at the College level please stop by the Athletic Office and sign up for an NCAA/NAIA Compliance Orientation that will take place on Tuesday, September 21st during both lunches in the Forum.
