Announcements:

Hey juniors and seniors! Prom is just around the corner!! Starting today through Friday April 6th, nominations for prom royalty will take place during both lunches in the cafeteria. Nominations for Senior graduation favorites will also be taken at this time.

Congratulations to the Warrior Winter Guard for placing 1st place at the Rampart High School Competition this past Saturday! The team scored an 89.4, which is a record high in the winter guard's history. Keep pushing through until State Championships this upcoming Saturday! Amazing job ladies!

Congratulations to the Arapahoe Band for an amazing trip to Southern California over spring break!!! The band had the opportunity to perform at the Carnation Stage next to the castle at Disneyland as well as participate in a soundtrack recording session on the Disneyland back lot using actual Disney musical scores and film. The band also represented Arapahoe very well when they visited California State University – Long Beach for a clinic as well as when they performed a joint concert with Murietta Valley High School just south of Los Angeles. Congratulations on a job well done!!!

The first Marching Band leadership meeting for the 2012 season will be tonight at 5:15 PM in the band room. If you are planning to audition for leadership (Drum Majors and Section Leaders) for next year you MUST attend this meeting. Please see Mr. Funk if you have any questions.

Interested in holding a position in student council? Attend one of our intent to run meetings on April 5th to hear what we do and what the application process entails. Meetings will take place in the forum at 6:45 and after school. Students planning to run need to attend at least one of these meetings.

Do you like math? I mean really like math? Well then you should come and challenge yourself at the Metro State Math Day Competition. On Monday, April 9th you can travel with Mrs. Bretz to Metro State and compete in algebra and geometry competitions as well as an engineering competition. This is a fun filled day of math activities. If interested, please stop by Mrs. Bretz's desk in the math office and pick up a permission slip or see Mrs. Bretz.

Athletics:

On Friday, March 23 the Boys JV Black Lacrosse Team played Grandview High at Powell Middle School. This was a very competitive game that went all the way into overtime, but Arapahoe pulled off a 7-6 win! Congratulations once again to the JV Black Team!

Congratulations to Amanda Martinez for her selection and participation in the "Colorado Coaches of Girls Sports" All-State basketball games played last Sunday March 25 at Arvada West High School. Amanda Contributed 15 points to her team's victory. Amanda has also been selected to play in "The Show" all-star game this coming Friday at the Pepsi Center. Congratulations and Good Luck Amanda Martinez!
