Announcements:

HELLO ARAPAHOE! Don't forget that this Friday is the deadline for "Art Attack" entries. Get yours in NOW!!!!

Attention members of National Honor Society. This month's meeting is going to be postponed until next Wednesday, April 11th. Thanks for your flexibility, and see you next Wednesday after school in the forum!

The Warrior Winter Guard and Winter Percussion Ensemble are hosting a pre-state performance for students, staff, friends and family this Friday, April 6, 2012 in the AHS Main Gym at 7:30 PM. They would like to invite you to come and cheer them on. Both groups will perform their 2012 shows in full costume before their final competition of the year on Saturday. Both teams are having wonderful seasons and they are looking forward to State Preliminaries and Finals on Saturday, April 7, 2012. The Winter Guard will be competing at the Denver Coliseum and the Percussion Ensemble will be competing at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield. Hope to see you Friday and/or Saturday!!! Auditions for the 2012-2013 AHS Choirs will be held April 23 - 27. Please see Ms. Parmenter in the choir room for additional information and to sign up for an audition time.

Piano players needed. We're looking for two piano players to accompany The Choralettes and The Arapahoe Singers next year. Please see Ms. Parmenter in the choir room for audition information.

Are you a star? That time of the year is here. The Prom Talent Show is just around the corner so come sign up with your shining talent. Tryouts will be held April 10th and 11th so come show off. Sign up sheets are in the Main Office.

Seniors! Take advantage of the last opportunity to represent your class--audition for keynote speaker for graduation! One time auditions will be held after school on Tuesday, April 17. Please sign up for your audition at Mrs. Debow's window in the Guidance Office. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Kleeman in Language Arts.

Hey juniors and seniors! Just another reminder that nominations for prom royalty will take place during both lunches in the cafeteria this week through this Friday April 6th. Nominations for Senior graduation favorites will also be taken at this time. Come to the cafeteria during both lunches this week to vote on the class motto, song, female and male readers for graduation. Only six weeks left!

Juniors, if you have been invited to participate in graduation as a Junior Attendant, please don't forget to stop by Mrs. DeBow's desk in the Guidance office to let her know if you are able to participate.

Interested in holding a position in student council? Attend one of our intent to run meetings on April 5th to hear what we do and what the application process entails. Meetings will take place in the forum at 6:45 and after school. Students planning to run need to attend at least one of these meetings.

Do you like math? I mean really like math? Well then you should come and challenge yourself at the Metro State Math Day Competition. On Monday, April 9th you can travel with Mrs. Bretz to Metro State and compete in algebra and geometry competitions as well as an engineering competition. This is a fun filled day of math activities. If interested, please stop by Mrs. Bretz's desk in the math office and pick up a permission slip or see Mrs. Bretz.

AHS’s Muse Magazine is having its big event tomorrow night! Yes, the Muse Showcase, which features all the amazingly talented writers, artists, and poets whose works were selected to be in Volume 10 of the Muse Magazine will be tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. in the Forum. Everyone is welcome to attend and admission is free! We will have music and snacks before the event so come early! Come support your fellow students and their creative work tomorrow in the Forum at 7:00!

Summer school information is available in the Guidance Office! Stop by and pick up a registration packet today. Summer school will take place June 4-29 at Arapahoe Community College. Please see your counselor if you have any questions.

Lost and Found: Please check the table in the cafeteria for clothing items and the Attendance Office for smaller items.

Athletics:

This afternoon, the Varsity Girls Lacrosse team will take on Overland high school. Game time is 5 o'clock at the LPS stadium. Please come out and support your undefeated Warriors team. Go Arapahoe, defeat the Trailblazers

The JV Tennis team does not have a match today. All JV players will practice at AHS from 2:30 - 3:30. See Coach Leyden with questions.

Attention all girls interested in playing softball in the fall. There will be a short informational meeting on Thursday at 2:30 in Room S1. Contact Coach Krueger with any questions or if you cannot attend.
