General Announcements

Don’t forget that this week is the week to nominate your class royalty and the Homecoming King and Queen for the class of 2014! Vote for someone with great Warrior spirit.  This year the nominations are through a Google form which you can find on the Arapahoe web page! 

Seniors please pick up a Graduation Announcement Packet in the Main Office or Guidance Office from Mrs. DeBow. Herff Jones representatives will be at Arapahoe High School on Thursday and Friday, September 26 and 27, 2013 during lunches in the cafeteria to accept your order and answer any questions that you may have.   

The following colleges will be visiting this morning:  University of Denver, Colorado College, Macalester College and Boston College.  Please check with Post Grad for times. 

Seniors applying to service academies: A reminder that deadlines for Congressional nominations are rapidly approaching! If you are interested in applying for a nomination, see your counselor or Mrs. Lewallen in the Post Grad Center. Deadline for Senator Udall is Friday, September 27; for Senator Bennet is Monday, September 30; for Congressman Coffman is Friday, October 11

Attention all Juniors . . . Are you interested in participating in the Junior Class homecoming float?  This Friday, we will be having a meeting discussing ideas and themes.  Anyone interested in helping out should plan on being there.  The meeting will be after school in C21 at 2:30 on Friday.  See you there Juniors!

Hey Key Clubbers, we are excited to announce that from now on we will be meeting in the Forum at 2:20 every Monday after school.  Also, t-shirt order forms and money are due on Monday.  The forms are on our Facebook page at Arapahoe High School Key Club.  Don't forget to join us in building the homecoming float this Saturday.  More information will be on Facebook.  We can't wait to see you on Monday.

Juniors, the PSAT test is coming. When? . . . October 16! Registration starts on Monday and goes through October 9. So, remember to bring $15 and your photo ID to the Guidance Office to sign up for this important test!

Please take the time to check the Library Overdue lists. The lists are located on the bulletin boards in the north and south hallways, the library and Bookkeepers office. Check periodically to make sure that you don’t have a fine or overdue book. These lists are updated weekly. Thanks Warriors!

Athletics

Congratulations to the JV Cross Country girls for winning the Cougar Classic in Colorado Springs last night. Mandee Middleton won the JV race. Emily Wolff placed 3rd, with a time of 18 minutes and 10 seconds in the Varsity race. Way to go girls cross country!

You are invited to our All-School Tailgate. Join us on Thursday, September 26th at the LPS Stadium from 6:00-7:00 p.m. $5 for food and fun. Hosted by Link Crew. 

Winter Sports Registration is now open online.  Log on to www.ahswarriors.org and follow the instructions on the Home Page to sign up for boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling, or girls swim/dive.

There will be an NCAA/NAIA Orientation for all interested Juniors and Seniors scholar-athletes on Tuesday, September 24th during both lunches in the Forum.  Please stop by the Athletic Office and sign up for the meeting.
