General Announcements

Key Club meeting will take place today after school in the Forum. 

There will be a meeting today after school for any wrestler that is interested in helping build the homecoming float. Please meet in Room C-3 at 2:30 pm. If you cannot make it today, stop by and see Coach Sisler during lunch.

The Speech and Debate Team is holding its weekly meeting and practice Tuesday after school at 2:30 in Room C15. If we haven't seen you yet this year, this would be a great time for you to drop by!

Warriors, are you ready for Homecoming?? Next Monday, this amazing week of activities gets started with the HOMECOMING TALENT SHOW!!! It’s the first event of the week, and you don’t want to miss out! We’ve got tons of talent packed into the show, with bands, dancers, and poets rocking the stage! Show times are 5:00 and 7:00 in the AHS Theater. Homecoming royalty will also be announced at the 7:00 show, and the theater will be packed, so buy your tickets as soon as possible! Tickets will be sold during both lunches Thursday through Monday. Let’s start the week off with a bang!

Stop by the voting booths in the cafeteria Tuesday, September 24 to cast your ballot for this year's Homecoming royalty.  Be sure to choose the students you feel will best represent your class to the school and community this year and in all the years to come.  Voting booths will be open all day.  Be sure to bring your student ID.

Picture re-takes will be this Wednesday in the Trophy hallway from 9:30 to 1:00 p.m.  If you have NOT had your picture taken by the photographer for your yearbook and Student ID photograph please do so at this time.  If you have had your picture taken but are not happy with the results, you must return your photo packet to the photographer in order to have retakes.
If you ordered a picture packet at registration in August, the photos are in. You can pick yours up on the south side of the cafeteria during both lunches, or check at the attendance office during any other period.

Seniors please pick up a Graduation Announcement Packet in the Main Office or Guidance Office from Mrs. DeBow. Herff Jones representatives will be at Arapahoe High School on Thursday and Friday, September 26 and 27, 2013 during lunches in the cafeteria to accept your order and answer any questions that you may have.   

The time is NOW, Warriors.  The Race for the Cure is coming up on Sunday, September 29th. You can sign up to run or walk the race, or you can sign up to SLEEP IN for the Race.  Yes!  You can be a part of our community efforts to have the largest high school team and you can just SLEEP IN!!!  Join our team!  Help find a cure for breast cancer!   Go to the Race for the Cure website and find our Arapahoe team.   If you have any questions, ask a cheer or Tom, and they can point you in the right direction.  Come together, right now.  I believe! I believe that!  I believe that we!  I believe that we will!  I believe that we will win!!!!  I believe that we will win!!!!

Juniors, the PSAT test is coming. When? . . . October 16! Registration starts today and goes through October 9. So, remember to bring $15 and your photo ID to the Guidance Office to sign up for this important test!

Athletics

The JV Boys Tennis Team competed in the Niwot Tournament on Saturday.  The Arapahoe Black Team finished 4th and the AHS Gold Team finished 7th out of 16 teams. Way to Go Warriors.  Come out and see the JV play today at Powell against Cherokee Trail at 3:30

Come cheer on the boys tennis team today at 3:30!  Their match is against Cherokee Trail on the AHS courts.

Tomorrow night, the volleyball teams play at home against Mullen.  Games are at 4, 5, and 6:15.  It is also Jimmy Johns night, so free samples will be given out to fans.  See you there!

You are invited to our All-School Tailgate. Join us on Thursday, September 26th at the LPS Stadium from 6:00-7:00 p.m. $5 for food and fun. Hosted by Link Crew. 

Winter Sports Registration is now open online.  Log on to www.ahswarriors.org and follow the instructions on the Home Page to sign up for boys basketball, girls basketball, wrestling, or girls swim/dive.

There will be an NCAA/NAIA Orientation for all interested Juniors and Seniors scholar-athletes tomorrow, September 24th during both lunches in the Forum.  Please stop by the Athletic Office and sign up for the meeting before end of the school day.
