General Announcements

Congratulations to all of the Speech and Debate members that competed at the Great Pumpkin Tournament! Novice and Varsity both did excellent! Keep up the great work at our first varsity tournament this Saturday at Cherry Creek!

Another great performance by Arapahoe DECA!  We came home with 25 awards from yesterday's competition in Douglas County, including six first place finishers and nine top test scores!!  Way to go A-Rap!

Hey Dodgeball players, today is your last chance to attend a rules meeting. Today's meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. in the Forum. See Ms. Krueger if you have any questions.

Halloween is only days away. This is a reminder that school rules will still be enforced, including the dress code. Students that wear costumes must be recognizable by staff members. Excessive face paint, masks, hoods, will not be allowed. In addition, please be sensitive with your choice of costume.

Once again it’s time for the annual Halloween candy jar count in the Library!!  Starting today, come down to the library and guess how many Halloween candies are in the glass jar!  The student who comes the closest to the actual amount will win the jar full of candy!  Only one guess per day, please.  The winner will be announced on Halloween during the daily announcements. Happy Halloween from your AHS Library staff!

The Fall Food Drive is finishing up this week.  Don't forget your canned goods, cereal, baby food, and ethnic foods by Friday!  All food benefits the families at Field Elementary School!

Would you like to pay off that library fine and at the same time donate to the Food Drive? Now until October 30th you will receive a .50 cent credit off your fine balance for every nonperishable food donation you bring in to the library.  Plus all money collected on fines during this time will be donated to the food drive.  To ensure that you receive credit toward your fine, personally hand your donation to any of the library staff. Help yourself while you help others.
You can now reserve the Group Study Rooms in the Library in advance online. Visit the AHS website and click on the link under the Library tab to check out the calendars to see when they're available, and then fill out the Google Form to request a room.  You can still reserve them in person at the circulation desk and, even if you reserve a room online, you'll still need to check in at the circulation desk when you arrive to use your room.
