General Announcements

This is your last chance! Sign up to try out for the talent show in the main office by fourth hour today. The tryouts start right after school today in room N-2.

Hey Warriors! Representatives from Herff/Jones will be here this Thursday and Friday in the cafeteria during lunches to take your class ring orders. Please stop by the Main Office or Guidance Office to pick up an information packet!

The First Technology Student Association or TSA club meeting will be tomorrow, Tuesday Sept 22 after school in Rm E9 from 2:25 - 3:00.  Please plan to attend to find out more about this exciting National organization!!.GO TSA

Attention Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors:   The election of 2016 is just around the corner and New Era Colorado wants to help you register and preregister to vote!  They will be visiting Arapahoe tomorrow September 22nd, Wednesday September 23rd and Thursday September 24th. If you are 16, 17, or 18 years old and are a US citizen please bring a state issued ID to school so you can perform your civic responsibility of registering to vote!  Registration will take place in all Government and Economics classes and they will have registration tables in the bubble hallway for those that are interested!

Calling all artists, writers, and generally creative people! Muse, Arapahoe's literary magazine, will hold a meeting tomorrow, September 22nd, at 2:30 in room E-11. All are welcome. Come see what's going on with us.


Athletics

Congratulations to the Varsity football team for their win over Grandview 17-14.   Your Warrior football team is 3-0 going into league play. Way to go Warriors!

Break out the broom!  It was a clean sweep last week for varsity boys’ tennis.  This week, the action starts again tomorrow at home against Eaglecrest.  Serve up another win, Warriors! 

The JV Boys Tennis Team defeated Columbine with and impressive win of 17-1 on Friday.  Come out to Powell tomorrow and watch the team take on Eaglecrest and keep their undefeated season alive.  Matches start at 3:30. 

Congrats to the boys and girls cross country teams for their great performances Saturday at the Rock Canyon Invite. The girls varsity finished 8th out of 20 teams with the girls JV finishing 2nd. The boys JV finished 4th and the boys varsity continued their unbeaten streak with another 1st place finish.

All lady warriors interested in playing basketball this upcoming winter should plan on attending open gyms this week and for the rest of the fall season! Open gym times are listed on the arapahoeladyhoops.com website. Please see Ms. Hancock in the Language Arts department if you have questions. See you on the court!

Registration is now open for Girls Swimming and Diving!   Go to the team web page and register before Oct 1.  There is a mandatory kick-off meeting on Thursday, October 1 from 5:30-7:00pm in the library.  New swimmers/divers should plan to attend a special meeting in the forum that night from 6:00 - 6:30pm.   It is also "Arapahoe Night" on Oct 1 at Shawarma - have dinner there and mention AHS Girls Swim/Dive and a portion of the profits help the team! 

Attention Warrior Volleyball Fans! Tonight is our home opener against Overland! Sophomore starts at 4, Freshman and JV start at 5. Varsity match begins at 6:15...come out and support your Warrior Volleyballers to victory!
