General Announcements

Attention Seniors! There is a mandatory Senior class meeting next Tuesday, April 19, from 10:00-11:00 in the AHS Theater. Please plan to attend to receive vital graduation information, and find out about Senior class voting and other important details regarding your big day. See you there!

Congratulations to Jackson Capps for winning the $20,000 scholarship in Personal Finance for competing in the H&R Block Budget Challenge. He is an expert on his finances! For Seniors that have taken a Personal Finance class, applications are now available for the $1000 Personal Finance Scholarship.  Please stop by the post grad office to pick up information.  Applications are due May 2nd.

What are you doing this weekend? How about you go see Arapahoe’s musical Anything Goes? Tickets are on sale at lunch. It’s $8.00 for students and $10.00 for adults.  Performances are this Thursday through Saturday and all shows are at 7pm.

Would you like to win a day with your friends at Top Golf?  How about a day at Water World?
Or a day at a Rockies game with gas and food money included?  Want to pick a grab bag with cash in it?  Then come to Arapahoe’s After Prom!  We have the best after prom in Colorado!  It starts at midnight, April 30 right after the dance!  Tickets will go on sale soon!  See you there!

Hey Key Clubbers! Thanks to all those who are bringing in food and shoes for our current collections. Don't forget we will be electing officers for next year at today's meeting. Those who are running, please make sure you've sent your slide to Nick. Looking forward to seeing you there!

This weekend your Speech and Debate team competed at the National Qualifying Tournament at Heritage High School. A special congratulations to Ryan Snow and Kathleen Burns who took home 4th place in the cross-examination debate, which makes them alternates for the National Tournament! Congratulations as well to Matthew Yohannes who competed in the Littleton Optimist Club's Oratorical competition last week and took 2nd place! He will be going on to compete at the state level. Great job Warriors!

Congratulations to the Arapahoe High School Winter Percussion Ensemble who placed 5th at the 2016 Rocky Mountain Percussion Association Scholastic Concert Open State Championships!!!  Arapahoe competed in the 2016 RMPA State Championships on April 9, 2016 at the Air Force Academy - Clune Arena

Juniors and Seniors, get ready to vote for this year’s AHS Prom Royalty! Voting will be available all day tomorrow in the cafeteria. Make sure to go in and cast a vote!


Athletics

Congratulations to both the ABK Girls Varsity and JV soccer teams in their victories over Regis on Saturday.  Varsity won with a shutout score of 3-0 with goals scored by Kelsey Vogel, Madi Matthews and Haley Archuleta.  The JV match concluded in a 1-0 victory with a goal scored by Ashlyn Baird.  Great job Warriors and keep it up!  Come out and support the teams tomorrow as they take the pitch against Eaglecrest at 4:30 on the AHS soccer fields.   Go Warriors!

Congrats to the freshmen baseball team on their win against Heritage on Saturday! An exciting game with the final score of 14-12. Come cheer for them today against Cherokee Trail at 4:30

The boys varsity lacrosse team is on a roll ... and loving our noisy, supportive fans.  The guys take on Woodinville tonight at 7pm at LPS Stadium.  And then mark your calendar – the boys play again tomorrow night at LPS Stadium at 6 pm versus Heritage. Come cheer them on!
