General Announcements

Tickets for the musical Anything Goes are now on sale during lunches. It’s $8.00 for students and $10.00 for adults.  Anything Goes runs from Thursday, April 14th through Saturday, April 16th and all shows are at 7pm.

Hey Seniors! You have the opportunity to speak at your own graduation---sign up for graduation speaker tryouts outside Ms. DeBow’s office in the Guidance Center. The sign-up ends today. For any questions, please see Mr. Kleeman in the Language Arts office.

Attention all seniors that have taken Personal Finance class.  Applications are now available for the $1000 Personal Finance Scholarship.  Please stop by the post grad office to pick up information.  Applications are due May 2nd.

Hey, warriors! Your AHS speech and debate team is competing today and tomorrow in the National Qualifier Tournament at Heritage High School! We will be sending eleven Warriors to represent our school. Wish them luck!

Please check the table in the cafeteria for any larger lost and found items as soon as possible. Check the Attendance Office for smaller items.


Athletics

Congratulations to the freshmen baseball team for their victory against Mullen 12-2 on Wednesday!
You can come cheer for them today at 4:30 while you enjoy a fresh burger or hotdog from the concession stand! Congrats to the sophomore baseball team as well for once again defeating Mullen last night 12-6.  Come watch the boys at heritage tomorrow at 11 am!!

Congrats to your undefeated Boys JV Black lacrosse team as they rallied to beat Creek on Wednesday, 10-6. Way to go boys!! Come on over to Powell today at 4:30pm as they take on Regis. It's a game you won't want to miss.

Come cheer on your # 8 ranked girls lacrosse teams today as they face Grandview!  JV plays at Newton at 4pm and Varsity plays at 5pm at LPS Stadium!  We’d love to see our fans!

A shout out to the Gold Guys Volleyball Team on their winning night last night! They swept Aurora Central in 2 games, and took Regis to 3 games, only to beat them 15-4 in the third game! Great work, Men of Volleyball! 

The ABK Girls JV and Varsity soccer teams were both victorious in their games against Mullen last night. The Varsity team won 2-0 with goals by Izzy Benasso and Madi Matthews.  The JV team won 6-2 with 2 goals from Riley Tucker and one each from Summer Mock, Emma Purcell, Annie Baker and Kassi Robinette.  Come out tomorrow to support both teams as they take on Regis at Lou Kellogg Stadium. The JV kick off at noon followed by the Varsity match up at 2pm.  Go Warriors!
