General Announcements
Did the visit of the Arapaho people to our school last year provoke
curiosity of a lifestyle and culture that you’d like to learn more about?. Wind
River Reservation Trip applications are now being accepted, if you would like
to be part of the journey, you must apply. Applications can be found in the
Activities/Attendance office, application and essay and must be returned by
Friday, February 24th. There is limited space and applicants will be
notified of selection by March 24th.
Attention all Arapahoe artists! There
is only a little time left to submit your design for the prom logo contest.
Remember to use the colors purple and gold for the theme "Puttin' on the
Ritz"!
Free Alive @ 25
class Tuesday February 7th at 2:30pm in room W1874. If you are
voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.
If you are 15 1/2 you can get drivers permit after taking the class and a lot
of insurance companies give you a
discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line. Any questions ask Deputy
Englert.
College Night is
this coming Monday evening from 6-8pm. Come and learn from
many experts in the community to help you manage the complex world of college
admissions. Hope to see you there!
Attention FBLA members: The district conference will be held this Tuesday, February 07th. Please meet in the Arapahoe cafeteria by 6AM wearing professional business attire. We will gone all day and return to Arapahoe around 3 or 3:30, so please plan accordingly with your teachers. Keep studying for your events, and GOOD LUCK in the competition!
Athletics
The LPS hockey team looks to extend their
three game winning streak in a home game against Aspen, Saturday night at 8:30 pm at South Suburban Ice rink. The first 100 students to attend will receive a a FREE t-shirt! Come out and support your team!
Good luck to our TOMS this coming
weekend as they travel to Orlando for the National Dance Team Championship!
Boys Lacrosse Registration is now open.
If you plan to try out for the Spring Roster you must register by February 6th.
Go to the Lacrosse Club website to register at ahslax.org and come to the Pre-Tryout Meeting on February 7th at 6:30 pm in the
Cafeteria.
Please come out and support your Arapahoe
Varsity Cheer Team this weekend. Sunday, February 5th at
Casa Caliente Restaurant located at 8800 S. Colorado Blvd, just south of C470
& Colorado Blvd. Come anytime between 11am-9pm and mention
that you're there to support Arapahoe Varsity Cheer and they'll give back 25%
of profits to go towards the Cheer Teams Nationals Competition. We would
love your support! Thank you!
Today, beginning at 5:30 pm AHS
will be hosting the Centennial A League Swim Championship Prelims. Come
out and Cheer your Lady Water Warriors!
Saturday, February 4th at 9:30 AM,
the Centennial A League Diving Championship Prelim will also be held at AHS. Saturday will conclude this 2 day meet with Finals
beginning at 3:00 PM for BOTH Swim and Dive. Good Luck to our
A-League Qualifiers!
