General Announcements
Seniors!
The senior-staff basketball game is coming up on the Wednesday night of Warrior
Week! If you are a basketball player or are interested in participating, please
pick up an application in the Counseling Office. Applications are due Monday,
February 27.
Are you interested in becoming a teacher? Do you have an off hour Thursday during 4th or 5th period? If so, there will be a valuable presentation in the forum this Thursday 4th and 5th periods about the teaching profession and the Littleton Public Schools Teacher Cadet Program. For more information, please see Mr. Sawyer in the Business department.
Did the visit of the Arapaho people to
our school last year provoke curiosity of a lifestyle and culture that you’d
like to learn more about?. Wind River Reservation Trip applications are
now being accepted, if you would like to be part of the journey, you must
apply. Applications can be found in the Activities/Attendance office,
application and essay and must be returned by Friday, February 24th.
There is limited space and applicants will be notified of selection by March 24th.
The Post Grad Center will be hosting several colleges between now and spring break. The University of Alabama will be here on Thursday. Please log in to Naviance to view the complete list and to sign up.
AP
students, today is the last day to order your AP exams! Please go to the
AP website today to submit your order if you have not already done so. As
a reminder, ALL students enrolled in an AP class must fill out the form, even
if they do not plan to take the exam. Thank you!
Athletics
Hey Warriors! Boys
basketball will host Pine Creek in the first round of the state playoffs.
Come out and cheer on the Warriors as the action starts at 7:00
p.m. Wednesday night. Just a reminder that this is a playoff game so
no SBA passes will be accepted. Ticket prices are $5 for students and
Senior Citizens and $7 for adults. Go Warriors!
AHS Swim wavers Thursday March 16th
@ 6:00am in the AHS pool. This is the
last time the swim waiver will be given this semester. The test is limited to
the first 15 students that sign up. Deadline for sign up is Monday March 6th.
You must register with Mrs. Leyden @ jleyden@lps.k.12.co.us
Criteria for passing the test is on the AHS website.
Attention all
wrestlers that have yet to turn in their uniforms. Coach Sisler will
be checking in uniforms on Thursday, after school in the wrestling room.
Are you ready for some playoff basketball? Of course you are! Pack the house tonight in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium as the Arapahoe Boys Basketball team hosts Pine Creek Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 pm. Come support the Warriors as the first round of the state 5A playoffs kicks off. Come out and defend our house!
Are you interested in joining the girls tennis team? Tryouts
start this Monday, February 27. Please see the girls’ tennis website
for registration and pink card pick-up information. All players must
register online before tryouts begin, and bring their pink cards to the first
day of tryouts.
