General Announcements
Seniors! The senior-staff basketball game is coming up on the Wednesday night of Warrior Week! If you are a basketball player or are interested in participating, please pick up an application in the Counseling Office. Applications are due Monday, February 27.

Congratulations to the Winter Percussion Ensemble on tying for first place at Saturday's Rocky Mountain Percussion Association show.  They performed at Harrison High School and scored a 74.1, enough to earn them a tie for the top spot at the first competition of the year!!!  Good luck to the Winter Percussion Ensemble during the rest of the season!

Congratulations to the Warrior Winter Guard for placing 2nd out of 10 teams this past Saturday at Loveland High School!  Our A-Team scored a total of 71.27 points out of 100, and were less than 2 points out of 1st Place!!!  Next performance is at Legacy High School on Saturday 2/25.  Keep up the good work Winter Guard!

Did the visit of the Arapaho people to our school last year provoke curiosity of a lifestyle and culture that you’d like to learn more about?.  Wind River Reservation Trip applications are now being accepted, if you would like to be part of the journey, you must apply. Applications can be found in the Activities/Attendance office, application and essay and must be returned by Friday, February 24th. There is limited space and applicants will be notified of selection by March 24th



Athletics

Hey Warriors!  Boys basketball will host Pine Creek in the first round of the state playoffs.  Come out and cheer on the Warriors as the action starts at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night. Just a reminder that this is a playoff game so no SBA passes will be accepted.  Ticket prices are $5 for students and Senior Citizens and $7 for adults.  Go Warriors!

The Lady Warriors won their final regular season game against Cherokee Trial last Friday.  Marci Zeigler lead the way with 12 points.

The Warriors have a first round bye in the State Playoffs and will play in the second round this Friday at Sitting Eagle Gymnasium
 Come out for a delicious meal at Hodsons Bar and Grill in Southglenn and support your AHS Girls Basketball team. Mention AHS when you dine today, the 21st 
from 6 - 9 and the AHS Girls Basketball Program will receive 20% of the sales. 
AHS Swim wavers Thursday March 16th @ 6:00am in the AHS pool.  This is the last time the swim waiver will be given this semester. The test is limited to the first 15 students that sign up. Deadline for sign up is Monday March 6th. You must register with Mrs. Leyden @ jleyden@lps.k.12.co.us  Criteria for passing the test is on the AHS website.

The LPS Ice Hockey Program will be hosting its first home playoff game in 30 years!!! Come and support your Varsity team this Tuesday night at South Suburban Ice Arena - 7:40PM vs Denver East
