General Announcements
Are you interested in a career in Marketing, Fashion or Graphic
Design? If so, there is a valuable presentation in the Forum during 4th
and 5th period on
Thursday. Please see Mr. Sawyer in the Business Department if you
have any questions.
Students -- Please check your LPS email account and take the yearbook survey about money and other intriguing things. Thanks.
Did the visit of the Arapaho people to
our school last year provoke curiosity of a lifestyle and culture that you’d
like to learn more about?. Wind River Reservation Trip applications are
now being accepted, if you would like to be part of the journey, you must apply.
Applications can be found in the Activities/Attendance office, application and
essay and must be returned by Friday, February 24th. There is
limited space and applicants will be notified of selection by March 24th.
The class of 2018 would like to thank all of those artists who participated in the Prom Art Contest. The submissions were amazing! Congratulations to Amy Raymond and Zippy Horch! We will be using their designs throughout the prom season!
Athletics
Any girls interested in trying out for ABK Girls Soccer this spring need to be registered before they can attend tryouts. The registration link can be found on the AHS Athletics home page or the Girls Soccer home page at ahswarriors.org. Tryouts start February 27th so be sure to get registered as soon as possible. GO ABK!

Lacrosse this spring - Please remember to register for the upcoming
season! Registration is on our website at ahswarriors.org. Tryouts start February 27th and you must be registered
before you can try out! See you on the field this spring!!
Come out for
a delicious meal at Hodsons Bar and Grill in Southglenn and support your AHS
Girls Basketball team.
Mention AHS when you dine on Tuesday February
21st from 6 - 9 and the AHS Girls Basketball Program will receive 20%
of the sales.
AHS Swim wavers Thursday March 16th @ 6:00am in
the AHS pool. This is the last time the
swim waiver will be given this semester. The test is limited to the first 15
students that sign up. Deadline for sign up is Monday March 6th. You
must register with Mrs. Leyden @ jleyden@lps.k.12.co.us Criteria for passing the
test is on the AHS website.
