*The library is closed at 1pm today. We are setting up for the Hour of Code event.

*LAUREN: Hey Julia, name something people argue about.
JULIA: Where to go to lunch.
LAUREN: Name an occupation.
JULIA: Doctor.
LAUREN: You're pretty good at this. You should come to the Theatre Topics Improv Show tonight at 6:00 in the theatre. They needs lots of audience suggestions.
JULIA: Then stick around to see the best actors and tech theatre students in school perform their pieces before they compete at their state conference. Both shows are free admission, and everything starts at 6:00 tonight.

*Cookies and Cocoa
Hey Warriors!  Stop by the library all day on Thursday, December 6 to get some fresh baked cookies and some decadent hot chocolate brought to you by Link Crew.  See you all there!

*Student council is now welcoming any interested Freshman to join Student Council as an ambassador. The application window to join the Student Council Class will be open from Dec. 4th through Dec. 18th. Applications can be picked up in the Activities office and on the Student Council website. If, in the future, you would want to be a class officer you would want to strongly consider applying to be an ambassador first. And as always, for anyone who is interested in joining Student Council, no matter which grade level, is welcomed. Meetings are in the Forum at 7:15 on Tuesday mornings.

*Attention Sources of Strength Peer Leaders! We will be meeting TODAY during lunches in the forum to plan our December campaigns! See you all there!

*AHS is hosting our first annual Hour of Code and STEM immersion event today after school until 6:00 pm. We would love for you to join us and will have events for all grade levels: Dance Party, Hour of Code, Ozobots, Makey-Makey, Coding Mouse, Sphero, Cardboard Challenge, & Drone flying. If you plan on attending or bringing a younger sibling, please sign-up using the link on the AHS website.  See Ms. Bownds (in the library) for more information.

*Final reminder to gather your loose coins and bills, and don't forget your unwrapped toy to bring to your 3rd period tomorrow for the 3rd Annual Avalanche of Toys & Miracle Minute Class Competition.  This year's donations will go to help make the holidays a little brighter for the children at Castro Elementary and the Denver Indian Center. The classroom that collects most toys will receive a donut party and the classroom that collects the most money will receive Chipotle gift cards.

*For those students who do not have a 3rd period on Wednesday, please bring your toys and/or cash to the Attendance/Activities office.  Your name will be put into a drawing for a $5 Chipotle gift card.

*Now that you know all about the 17th Annual Arapahoe Toy Drive….., now is your chance to be an active part of this wonderful community outreach!  Students wishing to help deliver toys to Castro Elementary on Tuesday, Dec. 18, after the last final of the day, should pick-up a permission slip in the Activities/Attendance Office.  Space is limited on a first-come basis.
