General Announcements

*Hello Warriors! Come audition to be a part AHS's next musical, Cinderella by Rodgers and Hammerstein! The audition dates are Monday, 11/11 for the singing audition, Tuesday 11/12 for the dancing audition, and Wednesday 11/13 for the acting callback. Each audition is after school in the theater. Audition materials and sign up are available in the Thespian Google Classroom, classroom code kw6izfl. The deadline to sign up is Friday, 11/8. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Brooks in the Theater!  

*It’s time for Hour of Code! Any student interested in volunteering at this amazing global event should attend this week’s computer science club meeting today after school in room N1459. If you can’t make this meeting, please email Ms. Bownds to express your interest. See you there! 

*FBLA will have a meeting after school this Wednesday in the forum. This meeting is the first opportunity for students to sign up for competitive events. Event sports are limited so be sure to come to the meeting to get your first choice!

*Free Alive@25 class is Tuesday, November 12th 3:45 PM - 8:15 PM in room
W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get drivers permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us. To register for the class the password is "arapahoe". Any questions ask Deputy Englert.

*Hey Warriors, do you love dodgeball? The annual DECA Dodgeball tournament is right around the corner. Come out Wednesday, November 6 and pay just 3 dollars to watch the best dodgeball teams around the world compete for international glory. Play starts at 6 pm. You don't want to miss this Awesome event!

*Attention DECA Dodgeball Team Captains. There is a mandatory Captain's meeting on Wednesday at 9:00 AM in classroom S1413. Only the team Captains need to attend. Please note this is a mandatory meeting. If you do not attend then your team will not be allowed to participate in the tournament!

*Did you checkout a daily Chromebook laptop or Lenovo power cord from the Library Last week? Please return that item A.S.A.P.! The Library is missing 36 of 62 Chromebooks and 36 of 40 Lenovo power cords. Remember if the items are not returned, they are considered lost. The replacement fee for a laptop is $180.00 and a power cord will cost you $37.00.

*The Swim Waiver will be given for current AHS, HHS,LHS students at Arapahoe High School on Thursday, November 21st at 7:00 AM. The test/waiver will take approximately 1 hour. This is the only test for the 1st semester 2019 school year for current students. This is the ONLY Swim Waiver Seniors may take. If seniors do not take and pass this test, they will be enrolled in swimming 2nd semester. Students must email Mrs. Leyden to sign up for the waiver.  Space is limited. 

Athletics    

*Come out and support your Arapahoe Varsity and JV Toms at the Centennial League Championships tomorrow night (Wednesday, 11/6) at Smoky Hill High School. JV performs @ 6:00 PM and Varsity @ 7:00 PM.

*For the first time in seven years, your Girls Gymnastics Team has qualified for State as a Team!!!  This means they get to compete as an entire Varsity Team on all four events as they compete for the State Championship. The State Competition is Thursday at Thornton High School. Congratulations, Ladies!  And, best of luck at the State Meet this Thursday!

*The Arapahoe Volleyball Team will be playing this Saturday in the Region 1 Tourney at Chapparal. They will play Denver East at 10:30 AM and Chapparal at 12:00 PM. Come support your Warriors! 

*Hey JV Lady Water Warriors! This Friday, November 8 we will be having a meeting in the forum from 4-5:00 PM to answer any questions of the season and get a chance to meet you guys! Make sure to bring money, because following the meeting we will be gathering at Red Robin on Arapahoe and Yosemite for dinner and some fun team bonding!

*Congratulations to our Football Warriors for taking charge with a win for our Homecoming game! They beat Overland 14-7 bringing in some new plays on offense and staying very strong on defense. Their first playoff game is this Friday versus Castle View at LPS Stadium.  Please come out and cheer them on to another victory!
