General Announcements

*Student Council appreciates your support and participation during Homecoming Week. While the parade had many amazing floats, here are the top three placing floats: In third place, Wrestling; in second place, Girls Basketball and our first place float is the AHS Swim and Dive Team! Congratulations to all participants!

*Hey Warriors! Come stop by the Library on Thursday, November 7th after school from 3:30-5:00 PM to write a thoughtful letter to our veterans! LINK Crew will have letters and materials for you to write with and will be serving free pie!

*Calling all Sources of Strength Peer Leaders...we will be having a meeting on Wednesday, Nov 13th in the forum starting at 8:50 am. Please come and hear about our next campaign for Thankfulness and Trusted Adults. See you then!

*Academic letter night is next week Monday, November 11 in the AHS Theater at 6:00 PM. If you are a junior or senior who qualifies for an academic letter you will receive a letter in the mail and an email inviting you to participate in the awards ceremony next week Monday. Parents and families are also invited. 

*Hello Warriors! Come audition to be a part AHS's next musical, Cinderella by Rodgers and Hammerstein! The audition dates are Monday, 11/11 for the singing audition, Tuesday 11/12 for the dancing audition, and Wednesday 11/13 for the acting callback. Each audition is after school in the theater. Audition materials and sign up are available in the Thespian Google Classroom, classroom code kw6izfl. The deadline to sign up is Friday, 11/8. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Brooks in the Theater!  

*Free Alive@25 class is Tuesday, November 12th 3:45 PM - 8:15 PM in room
W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get drivers permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us. To register for the class the password is "arapahoe". Any questions ask Deputy Englert.

*Hey Warriors, do you love dodgeball? The annual DECA Dodgeball tournament is tonight!. Pay just $3 to watch the best dodgeball teams around the world compete for international glory. Play starts at 6:00 PM. You don't want to miss this Awesome event!

*The Swim Waiver will be given for current AHS, HHS,LHS students at Arapahoe High School on Thursday, November 21st at 7:00 AM. The test/waiver will take approximately 1 hour. This is the only test for the 1st semester 2019 school year for current students. This is the ONLY Swim Waiver Seniors may take. If seniors do not take and pass this test, they will be enrolled in swimming 2nd semester. Students must email Mrs. Leyden to sign up for the waiver.  Space is limited. 

Athletics    

*Your Boys Varsity  Soccer team travels to Boulder High School tonight for a second round state playoff match at 6:00 PM against Boulder. Good Luck Warriors!

*We hope to see you at Smoky Hill High School tonight at the Arapahoe Toms Varsity and JV Centennial League Championships. JV Pom performance @ 6:00 PM and  Varsity Pom @ 7:00 PM.

*Congratulations to our head girls Field Hockey Coach, Ashley Loftis, for being named 2019 Colorado High School Field Hockey Coach of the Year!

*Congratulations to our head girls Softball Coach, Jeannie Maney, for being named Centennial League Softball Coach of the Year!
