*The latest edition of The Herald magazine came out this morning. Get your copy from your 2nd period teacher, or look for copies in the cafeteria news-stands and in the library.
*In Speech and Debate news, the team is headed out for their last regular season tournament tomorrow! Our students will represent Arapahoe, as one of 19 schools competing at the Columbine High School Rebellion Invitational. Good luck, Warriors! And an extra dose of luck in the post-season tournaments to come.
*Attention Warriors! Sources of Strength needs your help spreading positivity at our school! All you have to do is design a poster spreading a message about hope, help, and strength. Send in a picture of your poster to AHSSourcesofStrength@gmail.com. The winner will receive a $10 gift card of their choice and the Tribe with the most submissions will get a donut party! The deadline is February 26th!
*The AHS Spanish Honors Society Miguel de Cervantes is participating in the Pulsera Project and selling bracelets for $5 during first and second lunches this week. Please come support artists in Nicaragua and Guatemala and purchase one of these beautiful bracelets. ¡Muchas gracias!
*Good luck to the 2019 State Champion Arapahoe Percussion Ensemble as they head into competition season this Saturday at RMPA’s contest at Monarch High School! Good luck to Arapahoe Winter Guard - as they spin their way on as the Winter Guard performers of Littleton Public Schools - they perform Saturday afternoon at RMPGA’s contest at Chaparral High School!
*The Spring Swim Waiver test registration is now open for current students who are interested in testing out of the required Swim course. Current students can find the registration link on the AHS website. The test will take place on Thursday, March 12th at 7:00 AM and the registration link will be open from now until March 3rd or when all spots are filled. Sign up today to take the swim waiver test.
*Free Alive @ 25 class Wednesday, February 26th, 3:45 PM-8:15 PM in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get your driver's permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us. To register for the class the password is "arapahoe". Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.
Athletics
*Swim by the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thornton to see our state team compete in finals tonight starting at 5:00 PM. Go Lady Water Warriors!
*Any boys interested in playing for the AHS Boys Volleyball team this spring should plan to attend a player and parent meeting next Wednesday at 7:00 PM in Rm. E1287.
*Anyone interested in being a part of the 2020 Arapahoe Warrior Track and Field team should attend an informational meeting Tuesday, February 18th at 3:40 PM in Room W1529. We will be discussing the upcoming spring season and track camp! Come and be a part of the Arapahoe track family. If you are unable to attend please see Coach Lienemann sometime before the end of the week.
*Attention anyone interested in joining AHS Boys Swim and Dive: The season is starting soon...please register with the Booster Club today. Pre-season clinic begins next week for all new and returning swimmers. All gear orders are due this Saturday (2/15/20) by 5:00 PM.
