General Announcements

*Seniors!  Are you still thinking about what to do after graduation?  Still considering applying to schools to further your education?  Come to Application Day three weeks from today to hear from trade schools, community colleges, and in-state 4-year colleges. You will be able to apply for FREE and with support.  See the Post Grad website, your counselor, or Mrs. Hall for details.

*Attention Warriors! Sources of Strength needs your help spreading positivity at our school! All you have to do is design a poster spreading a message about hope, help, and strength. Send in a picture of your poster to AHSSourcesofStrength@gmail.com. The winner will receive a $10 gift card of their choice and the Tribe with the most submissions will get a donut party! The deadline is February 26th!  

*The Spring Swim Waiver test registration is now open for current students who are interested in testing out of the required Swim course. Current students can find the registration link on the AHS website. The test will take place on Thursday, March 12th at 7:00 AM and the registration link will be open from now until March 3rd or when all spots are filled. Sign up today to take the swim waiver test.

*Free Alive @ 25 class Wednesday, February 26th, 3:45 PM-8:15 PM in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get your driver's permit after taking the class and many insurance companies give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us. To register for the class the password is "arapahoe". Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.

Athletics

*Your LPS hockey team will play their last regular season game this Saturday night against Mountain Vista at home at South Suburban at 6:30 PM. This will be a big game as they play for the “Eagle Cup” and will celebrate Senior Night. In addition, t-shirts will be on sale at the game for Urban Peak, which is a non-profit organization in Denver that provides services for youth ages 15-24 who are experiencing homelessness. Come out to support the team and Urban Peak!

*Please join the Arapahoe Baseball Team breakfast fundraiser this Saturday (2/22/20) between 7:30-9:30 AM at Applebee’s (8292 S. University Blvd -University and County Line) For $10 you can enjoy pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, milk, juice and soft drinks; but more importantly you'll have our players skillfully serve you and your family a great breakfast.
