General Announcements
*Congratulations to the Arapahoe Climbing team for some solid climbing on Saturday at their 5th comp of the season. The boys team earned 6th place in a stacked field and Junior Karson Hilgert earned 2nd place in the high school girls classification. Good luck in 2 weeks at Movement Englewood!
*Attention FBLA Members, the district testing window is OPEN and all students signed up for testing events must complete your tests no later than Thursday, January 15th. If you are signed up for an event with a partner you must test with that partner at the same time. Please check Google Classroom for a full listing of testing times and locations. There is no extension on this deadline.
*Warriors - grab your Baguettes and Berets, we are headed to France! On this trip you’ll cruise the river Seine, take in views of the Eiffel tower, walk the charming streets of Bordeaux during a dessert themed tour and learn to make delicious sweets from a French pastry chef. All Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors interested in exploring the culture and cuisine of France are invited to learn more about the trip at our family info meeting on January 20th @ 6:00pm. Please RSVP to the QR code on the posters around school and in any Science room. Ask Ms. Wood in Science if you have any questions.
*Thinking about taking a gap year? Arapahoe High School will be hosting the Denver Gap Year Fair on Tuesday, January 20th in the Forum from 6:00-8:30 pm. Learn about summer programs, internships, volunteerism, language schools and college credit. Eligible students who attend the fair can register to win a $5,000 gap year scholarship! See the Post Secondary Events Tab on the website or Scan the QR code on any of the many posters around the building for more information and to register.
Athletics
*Congratulations to the TOMS JV Dance Team for their 1st place finish in the Game Day Division at the JV State Competition this weekend. What a fantastic end to the competition season and a huge accomplishment! You can watch the JV and Varsity Toms perform their competition routines Saturday night at 6:30pm during the Toms Nationals Sendoff in the gym.
*Also, Congratulations to the JV Cheer team for their 2nd place finish at the JV State Competition in the Game Day Division this weekend. Way to go Warriors!!
*Congratulations to your Warriors Girls Swimming and Diving team on winning the Warrior Invitational on Saturday at AHS! The ladies competed tough and showed lots of pride and enthusiasm throughout the meet! The swimming and diving team will be back in action at HOME TOMORROW as they take on Mullen and Overland. Diving will start at 5:00pm and swimming at 5:45pm.
