 General Announcements

*Attention Warriors - are you interested in being part of a new E-sports team at Arapahoe?  Stop by room E1287 this Thursday, January 15th before TRIBE at 8:00am for our informational meeting.  We will talk about the spring season and decide on future meetings and practices. See you there! 


*Hey Warriors - did you know the Herald Newspaper is now called the Spear.  The Spear is exclusively online.  Go to www.thespearonline.org or Instagram @ahswarriormedia to find all the cool stories from your Warrior newspaper staff!


*Thinking about taking a gap year?  Arapahoe High School will be hosting the Denver Gap Year Fair on Tuesday, January 20th in the Forum from 6:00-8:30 pm.  Learn about summer programs, internships, volunteerism, language schools and college credit.  Eligible students who attend the fair can register to win a $5,000 gap year scholarship!  See the Post Secondary Events Tab on the website or Scan the QR code on any of the many posters around the building for more information and to register.


*Warriors! We are looking for a few volunteers for LPS’s ‘Hour of Code’ on January 26th at EPIC campus starting @ 4:45pm. If you are interested, please come see Mrs. Romero. 


*Attention FBLA Members, the district testing window is OPEN and all students signed up for testing events must complete your tests no later than Thursday, January 15th.  If you are signed up for an event with a partner you must test with that partner at the same time.  Please check Google Classroom for a full listing of testing times and locations.  There is no extension on this deadline.


*Warriors - grab your Baguettes and Berets, we are headed to France! On this trip you’ll cruise the river Seine, take in views of the Eiffel tower, walk the charming streets of Bordeaux during a dessert themed tour and learn to make delicious sweets from a French pastry chef. All Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors interested in exploring the culture and cuisine of France are invited to learn more about the trip at our family info meeting on January 20th @ 6:00pm. Please RSVP to the QR code on the posters around school and in any Science room. Ask Ms. Wood in Science  if you have any questions.



Athletics

*Your Girls Swimming and Diving team is back in action TODAY at HOME against Overland and Mullen. The diving portion will begin at 5:00pm and the swimming races will begin at approximately 5:45pm.  Good luck Warriors!

*Good Luck to our Boys Basketball teams as they head to Douglas County TONIGHT!  Varsity will play at 7:00pm following JV at 5:30pm.  The Sophomore and Freshman team will play at 4:00pm.  Come cheer our Warriors to a Victory!

*Come join our Boys LPS Volleyball team for an open gym TONIGHT from 7:00-9:00pm at Arapahoe High School. Follow us on Instagram @lpsboysvball or visit lpsvolleyball.com for a list of the other open gyms and other important team info! Hope to see you there!

*Anyone interested in being a part of the 2026 Arapahoe Warrior Track and Field team should attend an informational meeting Wednesday, January 14th at 3:45pm in the Forum. The meeting should only last 20 min. We will be discussing the upcoming spring season which is just around the corner. Come and be a part of the Arapahoe track family. We will also be discussing uniform ordering. If you are unable to attend please see Coach Wadsworth. 

*Attention ALL boys interested in the Swimming and Diving team at AHS this spring!  We will have an organizational meeting on Thursday, January 15th in the Forum at 6:30pm.  Please make all attempts to be at the meeting if you are interested in being on the team.  Swimming and diving is a no cut sport!
