General Announcements
*Warriors! Representatives from Arapahoe Community College and the EPIC campus will be in the cafeteria at lunch today to talk with students about CE and work-based learning opportunities available to AHS students next year. Stop by and check it out as you begin to think about your schedule for the upcoming school year.
*LPS’s first ever FIRST Robotics Club is meeting after school TODAY in room E1286. Drop by the Tech Lab, E1286, after school anytime until 6:00pm. Learn more about what we’ll be doing throughout the competition season, learn what it means to be a part of the team, and most importantly, have fun.
*Attention FBLA Members, the district testing window is OPEN and all students signed up for testing events must complete your tests no later than Thursday, January 15th. If you are signed up for an event with a partner you must test with that partner at the same time. Please check Google Classroom for a full listing of testing times and locations. There is no extension on this deadline.
*Thinking about taking a gap year? Arapahoe High School will be hosting the Denver Gap Year Fair on Tuesday, January 20th in the Forum from 6:00-8:30 pm. Learn about summer programs, internships, volunteerism, language schools and college credit. Eligible students who attend the fair can register to win a $5,000 gap year scholarship! See the Post Secondary Events Tab on the website or Scan the QR code on any of the many posters around the building for more information and to register.
Athletics
*Come pack the stands TONIGHT for you Warrior Wrestlers in Sitting Eagle Gymnasium. The Warriors will take on Overland with the Girls team starting @ 4:57pm, followed by JV Boys at 5:57pm and Varsity starting at 6:57pm.
*Did you know there is a Boys LPS Volleyball team? Join us for open gyms this Sunday, January 11th from 2:00-4:00pm at Heritage High School and Tuesday, January 13th from 7:00-9:00pm at Arapahoe High School.
