Seniors -- Please remind your parents that Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in our Theatre, Terry Rousch, a very entertaining college placement counselor will be here to address Arapahoe Seniors and Parents regarding college information. College selection, costs, expectations, admissions all will be covered. If you plan to attend college, be here Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
Attention all FCCLA members:
Your fundraising forms for cookie dough and strudel are now due to Mrs. Rains. Please turn them in to Mrs. Rains ASAP (no later than the end of the day Wed.) so the order can be placed. Also, please pick up a November calendar in Mrs. Rains’ office so you don’t miss any important upcoming dates.

Congratulations to the speech members who competed at the Great Pumpkin Novice Speech and Debate Tournament last Saturday. Maryn Lewallen received an Excellence award in Extemporaneous Speaking. She also received a Superior award in Lincoln Douglas debate as did Nikki Rice and Jenny Morris. Also receiving superior ratings were Shamita Punjabi in Original Oratory and Matt Schmitz and Nathan Arnold in Cross-Examination Debate. We are off to a great start!
Attention anyone interested in taking Sports Medicine: You must sign-up for an interview with Mrs. Bradley in the women’s Physical Education office. Your schedule must be signed by Mrs. Bradley in order for you to take the class.
Attention NHS members and potential blood donors. Please remember that today is the big day - the Blood Drive is here!!! If you signed up to do background checks during one of the sessions, please remember to show up for your duty. See Kit Kramer or Mr. Sale with any questions about service duty or providing snacks. If you are giving blood, please show up on time and bring your permission slip if you are 17. Thanks for helping us out. People need you!
Hey all you juniors! Remember to come to your class meetings! We will be starting back up on Wednesday, November 2, at 6:40 in room C1. We are starting to plan for Prom, and would like all of your help and input! See your class officers if you have any questions! See you there!

If you missed the Habitat for Humanity meeting this past Wednesday, you can still sign up outside C-13 for the November 23rd build date.
Attention sophomores! You can register for the PLAN test in the Guidance Office at the Post Grad Center until November 2, 2005. The cost is $20.00. The test is on Saturday, November 5, 2005, at Arapahoe High School.

Seniors: The scholarships are pouring in! Over two dozen new scholarships have been received in the past 10 days. Stop by the Post Grad Center or visit the Scholarship link online in the AHS site map. There may be a scholarship out there just for you!

Auditions for the Winter Play "Barefoot in the Park" will be Nov. 8 and 9. Check call board in the Theater Hallway for details or see Mr. Earley.
Athletics-
Any freshmen boys that are interested in trying out for basketball this year, there will be an open gym today and Thursday right after school from 2:30 – 4:00 in the main gym. Come ready to play. Official try-outs for the freshman teams will be after freshman football ends.
All sophomore boys interested in playing basketball this year need to be in the gym at 5 pm starting today November 1st, ready to practice. Practices this week will be at 5 pm today through Friday.
AHS Special Olympics Basketball team is looking for partners to play on the team. Practices are on Monday nights from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Arapahoe. Practices start in November and the season runs through the end of February. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Pepe in room S6 to sign up. If you have picked up an application, please turn it. We are still looking for help.

Attention Young Democrats. Come to the meeting tomorrow after school to plan for the next debate. The meeting is also important because of final plans for our new T-shirts. We will also meet on Wednesday of next week. Please attend and bring a friend.
