General Announcements

Attention anyone interested in taking Sports Medicine:  You must sign-up for an interview with Mrs. Bradley in the women’s Physical Education office.  Your schedule must be signed by Mrs. Bradley in order for you to take the class. 

Auditions for the Winter Play "Barefoot in the Park" will be Nov. 8 and 9.  Check the call board in the Theater Hallway for details or see Mr. Earley.

Attention Mathematicians! The University of Northern Colorado Math Competition is scheduled for Friday, November 4th after school in rooms N2 and N3. Refreshments will be served. Please see Mrs. Lobser if you are interested in participating.

Students...you might be missing out!  If you don't listen to this announcement, you may be the only student who doesn't know... that the DECA Store has some GREAT new merchandise!  Just in at your one and only school store...NEW HOT hooded sweatshirts, WARM winter beanies (or stocking caps), and Tremendous T-shirts w/ the warrior head on it!  And while supplies last- CANS of soda pop for only $0.50.  Coming soon to your school store- a new shipment of fitted baseball caps! 


Athletics

Any freshmen boys that are interested in trying out for basketball this year, there will be an open gym Thursday right after school from 2:30 – 4:00 in the main gym.  Come ready to play.  Official try-outs for the freshman teams will be after freshman football ends.

AHS Special Olympics Basketball team is looking for partners to play on the team.  Practices are on Monday nights from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm at Arapahoe.  Practices start in November and the season runs through the end of February.  If you are interested, please see Mrs. Pepe in room S6 to sign up.  If you have picked up an application, please turn it.  We are still looking for help.

Attention boys Varsity soccer players. Uniform check in will be today at 2:30 in room C-7.

Attention Junior Varsity soccer players, there is a mandatory voting meeting today at 2:30 in room N6.

Girls interested in trying out for Basketball we have open gym on Wednesdays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for all levels and we have the Weight Room on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30 PM.  Try-outs are starting the week of November 7th.

All Arapahoe girls’ swimmers and divers need to complete their athletic registration for the upcoming season as soon as possible. Turn your green cards into the athletic office. If you have any questions please see coach Richmond. If you are interested in the winter training trip, there will be a meeting tonight at 7 PM in the Forum.

Attention all freshman football players! Please bring all of your clean football equipment to turn in on Monday, November 7 right after school. If you do not bring it in on Monday, you will be fined.

Juniors – if you received a letter in the mail that you are receiving an Academic Letter Monday night – please stop by Ms. Pramenko’s office today or tomorrow before 2:30. Thanks!

Congratulations to our winning chess team! We won our first chess match of the year against D'Evelyn High School with a final score of 5 to 3. Please recognize our talented players: Ryan Beckett, Emil Marinov, Elliott Quant-Larkins and Brie Vicek. Great job Arapahoe!
