General Announcements

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All the Way……Time to Shop for Toys for Tots …to make a Happy Holiday!”  The day after Thanksgiving is the biggest shopping day of the year.  While you are out shopping for your friends and family, please think about picking up a toy for a boy or girl at Fletcher Elementary.  Our goal is 1000 NEW toys!  Bring your toys to the Attendance Office after the Thanksgiving break.  Let’s make it a great holiday for the kids!

Students:  Here is some very important information to write down in your student planner.  The Tuesday before Thanksgiving break (NOVEMBER 22ND) you will go to your Thursday classes and NOT your Tuesday classes.    

French Club will meet in Room C-20 today right after school! We have some things to discuss, so please come!! Thanks.

Hey FBLA members.  There is an Officer ONLY meeting today after school.  Please turn in your competition paperwork and fees to the business office ASAP.  See you next Monday.

Attention all FCCLA’ers, we are going to be having a very important meeting today, November 21st, at 2:25pm in room E2.  We need to start discussing our adopt-a-family, serving dinner at the homeless shelter, and our chocolate fundraiser.

Attention all Student Council members. If you are interested in participating in the Parade of Lights please bring your permission form to the STUCO meeting on Tuesday morning.  That’s tomorrow! We are participating in the Parade of Lights on Dec. 3rd.

Attention NHS Members! Volunteers are needed for the induction ceremony on the evening of Tuesday, November 29. Please see one of the officers or sponsors to sign up.

Athletics

Pre-season track workouts will begin the Monday after Thanksgiving in the weight room at 2:30.  Anyone that is not currently in a winter sport is welcome to join us.  We will be lifting Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will have track workouts on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  If you have any questions please see coach Lienemann or coach Nelson.  

Congratulations to our Varsity and J.V. cheers.   Both teams took 1st place at the Rocky Mountain High Spirit Competition held Saturday here at Arapahoe.  Way to go ladies!   We are proud of you!!

Film Club members……..meeting number 2 is today, November 21st at 2:30.  We’ll be watching the always funny “Office Space”.  New members are always welcome.  See Read Trammel or Mick Mrozek if you have any questions.

Congratulations to the following speech competitors for their success last weekend at the Denver Public School Speech an Debate Tournament:  Maryn Lewallen placed fifth in Extemporaneous speaking.  
Justin Lambert placed fourth in Extemporaneous Speaking.  Will Hea and David Shuck placed third in policy debate.

Community Service Just ‘Cause is having a meeting this Tuesday right after school in room C-19.  Hope to see you all there!

Attention Republican Warriors, there will be a meeting today after school in the library.  Please come so we can find the number of club shirts to order.
