General Announcements

Juniors and seniors: There are many colleges visiting Arapahoe this week. Check the white board outside the Guidance Center for colleges visiting that day or check the visit schedule on Naviance Family Connection or check the schedule in the Guidance Center. This is your opportunity to meet college representatives and get your questions answered.

Attention all NHS members. We will have a brief meeting after school in the forum today, to discuss service log updates and opportunities. Prospective members are welcome to view the meeting and pick up applications.

Juniors and seniors: CU Boulder is hosting an Engineering Open House on Saturday, October 21. This is a great opportunity to explore the engineering disciplines and meet CU Boulder faculty and staff. For more information go to the Post Grad Center, Science and Math Departments.

Seniors: Boettcher scholarship application deadline is near. Pick up an application in the Post Grad Center today. Apply if you are in the top 5% of your graduating class, scored 1200 or higher on the SAT OR 27 or higher on the ACT and have been a Colorado resident for your junior and senior years.

Would you like to pay off that library fine and at the same time donate to the Bronco Wives Food Drive? How do you ask!? Now until October 18th you will receive a .25 credit off your fine balance for every non perishable food donation you bring into the library. To ensure that you receive credit toward your fine, personally hand your donation to any of the library staff members. Help yourself while you help others.

The Homecoming photos are in and can be picked up in the main office.

Congratulations to all members of the Warrior Marching Band for placing 2nd at last night’s State Qualifying Festival. Arapahoe scored a season high 80.42, just 3 points behind first place Pomona. Congratulations to the Color Guard for placing 1st out of 20 competing units!! Way to go Warrior Band!!!

This is a special – no make that a sweet- announcement from Mrs. Krueger’s 6th period, Introduction to Business class. We are starting up our own class business and we need money to get started. Starting today during both lunches we are selling raffle tickets. The winner of the raffle will receive a huge box of candy to enjoy and share with your friends. Tickets are only $1 – buy two and double your chances of winning.

Athletics

Attention JV softball players. Please return your uniforms to Coach Krueger in the Business Office by Friday, October 13th. Get them in this week so you can avoid being hit with a fine.

Attention all girl golfers! Your silent auction donation is due to Mrs. Abner by the end of the week. Please bring your donation to the women’s PE office by Friday.

The boys Varsity soccer team defeated Mountain Vista yesterday 2 – 0. Thanks to our great fans, our 12th man, for the positive support. The Junior Varsity boys soccer team also defeated Mountain Vista yesterday by a score of 4 – 1.

Congratulations to the Freshman B, sophomore, and JV volleyball teams for their victory over Littleton last night! The warriors take on Mountain Vista on Thursday night…thanks for your support!

Attention all varsity tennis team members, we will meet at the tennis bubble today as planned. Do not go to the Arapahoe courts.
