General Announcements

Would you like to pay off that library fine and at the same time donate to the Bronco Wives Food Drive? How do you ask!? Now until October 18th you will receive a .25 credit off your fine balance for every non perishable food donation you bring into the library. To ensure that you receive credit toward your fine, personally hand your donation to any of the library staff members. Help yourself while you help others.

This is a special – no make that a sweet- announcement from Mrs. Krueger’s 6th period, Introduction to Business class. We are starting up our own class business and we need money to get started. Starting today during both lunches we are selling raffle tickets. The winner of the raffle will receive a huge box of candy to enjoy and share with your friends. Tickets are only $1 – buy two and double your chances of winning.

Don’t forget to sign your team up for the Dodgeball Tournament on Oct. 25th! You can sign up today in the DECA store or talk to Mrs. Grantham. It’s only $1 per player or $10 per team. Hurry – space is limited!!

Hey Key Club! Come this Monday, October 16th, after school in room C16 to sign up for Trick or Treat Street and other great community service opportunities!

Good Luck to all members of the Warrior Marching Band who will be performing at The New Friendship Cup Band Competition tomorrow afternoon. There will be 32 bands throughout the day at Englewood HS Stadium. Arapahoe performs last at prelims - 5:00pm. The Warrior Band is the defending Friendship Cup Grand Champion. The top 12 finalist bands will perform in the night show beginning at 6:00pm. Goog luck Warrior Band!!!!

Athletics

Attention JV softball players. Please return your uniforms to Coach Krueger in the Business Office by today. Get them in this week so you can avoid being hit with a fine.

Attention all girl golfers! Your silent auction donation is due to Mrs. Abner by the end of the week. Please bring your donation to the women’s PE office by tomorrow.

The boys Varsity soccer team defeated ThunderRidge last night 4 – 0. The Junior Varsity team also beat ThunderRidge by the same score.

Congratulations to the Freshman A and JV volleyball teams for their win over Mountain Vista last night! Both teams won in 2 games…way to go warriors! Good luck to the Freshman B volleyball team at their tournament tomorrow!

Attention all Girls Lacrosse players! Winter-ball, session 1 is here! The registration deadline came up sooner than we expected. It is next Wednesday, October 18th. We would really like to get a team together, so everyone who can participate sign up!

Attention creative problem solvers! We are in the process of forming teams for Destination Imagination, an international creative problem-solving competition. Please see Mrs. Lobser in the Enrichment Room to learn more.

Hey all you Bocce Ballers! A bocce ball tournament will be held at Arapahoe Park on Sunday at 1:30! Be ready to have a sick time! Questions? Contact Jeff Hahl, Sam Harper, or Moles Lepry. Pizza and drinks will be there,how ‘bout you?

Attention all you political Warriors. Are you tired of the partisan blame game that has consumed our nation’s capital? Want your congressional representatives to stop worrying about their parties and start worrying about those whom they represent? Come join the efforts of the Unity ’08 Petition. We will meet Tuesday, October 17 at 2:20 in room C5.

This Saturday's novice speech and debate tournament will not take place at Arapahoe. We will be competing at Overland High School instead. Competitors need to be at Overland by 11:00 a.m. Ms. Graham has directions to the school if you need them. Check with her if you need a ride.
