General Announcements

Seniors: The Herff Jones Company will be here tomorrow, November 7 in the cafeteria during both lunches to take make up orders for your graduation announcements. Packets are available in the Dean’s office, guidance office or the main office.

Whoa!! HEY!! Muse Members! I said Hey, all MUSE MEMBERS!! We will have an emergency meeting today the 6th to talk about some emergencies! Bring your brain, your monkey, and your magic carpet, because we need some creative acts of kindness and astounding blasts of brilliance!! Did I mention it was an emergency?? That’s today after school, C-16!! Be there!!

Hey all seniors! This year seniors have a unique opportunity to get involved in a once in a lifetime senior class gift. This spring, a group of seniors will travel to the Wind River Reservation and celebrate the special bond we have with the Arapaho Tribe. If you want to be involved in the planning of this trip, please attend a meeting in room C1 on Nov. 8th at 6:45am or on the 15th at 2:20pm.

Aloha can mean love, affection, kindness, hello, and goodbye. You can show your love for your country, say hello to your friends and say hello to your friends and say goodbye to the choir and orchestra by coming to a free concert on Tuesday, November 7th at 7:00pm in the AHS theatre where they will be playing the program they are performing in Hawaii in honor of the 65th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.

This coming Saturday, November 11, is Veterans’ Day. In honor of the men and women who served and are currently serving in the US Armed Forces, Arapahoe will be celebrating for the next five days. Please stop by the Military Wall of Honor and add the names of your family members who have served in the armed forces on the Military Heritage Board located by the security office in the cafeteria this week. If you have time on Friday, come to the Forum and listen to a few veterans speak about their experiences. Wednesday will be Patriotic Color Day – please wear Red, White, and/or Blue.

Hey Habitat for Humanity members, we will have a meeting after school on Wednesday, November 8th in room C18. We will discuss possible build dates and outlet store work dates. New members always welcome.

There will be a lost and found table in the cafeteria this week. Please check the table for any missing belongings.

Congratulations go to the Speech and Debate Team for their success this weekend at the Chaparral Showdown Speech and Debate Tournament. Amanda Noel placed second in Dramatic Interpretation. Shamita Punjabi placed third in Humorous Interpretation. Receiving superior and excellent ribbons were Sarah Zellner, Ashleigh McCulloch, Alexa Ankele, Ashley Lambert, Ryan Foley, and Nathan Arnold. Good job!

Athletics

Winter sports registration will take place next week at 2:30 pm in Room S3. Wrestling will be done today, November 6th, boy’s and girl’s basketball will be tomorrow, November 7th and girls swimming and diving will be on Wed, Nov. 8th.

Girl’s basketball has started their preseason workout. All interested players are invited to attend the workouts thru next Friday, November 10th from 5-7 pm in the Main and Auxiliary gyms.

Attention all girls that played softball this past season. Please have your softball lockers cleared out by tomorrow, Nov. 7th.

Attention all wrestlers. Today is the first day of practice! We will meet in the wrestling room and go to registration from there. Bring your paper work with you.

The JV football game against Overland High School that was scheduled to take place here at Arapahoe today has been cancelled.

Congratulations to the Freshman Football Team for a convincing 49-21 victory Saturday against Overland. The freshmen ended their season with a 7and 3 record, great job guys! Saturday touchdown were scored by Davis Gunter with 4, Phil Lorenzo and Cameron Durkin. A reminder to all freshmen players that equipment check-in will be after school tomorrow Tuesday November 7!

Your Arapahoe football team will play Douglas County this Friday, November 10th at 7 pm in the second round of state playoffs. The game will be held at Littleton Public Stadium. Admission will be $7 for adults and $5 for students. No student or league passes will be accepted. GO WARRIORS!

Congratulations to Kayla Balciar for finishing second overall at the Littleton Stride 5k this past Saturday. The Arapahoe cross country team had a great showing.

There will be a short meeting on Thursday, November 9th in S14 immediately after school. We will be discussing our pre-season training sessions and the upcoming indoor and outdoor track seasons. Attention Wild Warrior Women, we have a mandatory meeting this Thursday, November 9th, in the forum after school. All members are required to attend. We will be taking attendance.
