General Announcements

Hey Habitat for Humanity members, we will be having a meeting after school today, in room C18. We will discuss possible build dates and outlet store work dates. New members always welcome.

Got Change! FBLA is collecting change at lunch to help a family out. Last year Adopt a Family helped a family by providing tooth brushes, snow boots, and coats. It also provided a small toy for each child. Bring your change and help a family! We will be collecting change at lunch this week.

In honor of Veterans’ Day, November 11th, we would like to honor those people who made and make soldiers’ jobs possible. During WWII, nearly 3 million teenage boys and girls went to work for the US defense. They deferred their educations to make victory possible, working long hours each day in dangerous places such as shipyards and airplane fuselage plants. Please remember their contributions this Veterans’ Day. Today during both lunches, students from Ms. Parmenter’s classes will be performing patriotic music in the cafeteria. Please be there to enjoy the music and share your appreciation of Arapahoe’s talented singers.

Please join us for a great night of music in our theater starting at 7pm. It’s the First Annual Arapahoe Band Concerto Competition featuring 8 terrific finalists – Wes Leffingwell on piano, Matt Cullen on Bassoon, Jamie Stippich on Oboe, Roxy Steinberg on Flute, David Steinberg on tympani, Gabrielle Miller on clarinet, Colton Crandell on trumpet, and Sean Case on marimba. The top 3 soloists will receive cash prizes at the end of tonight’s competition. Three Colorado Symphony musicians will be judging the finalist performances. Tickets are just $2.00 – good luck to all of the finalists!!

Hey Community Service Just ‘Cause members! There’s going to be a meeting tomorrow, November 9th in room C19 right after school. This is an important meeting so try not to miss it!! And remember, new members are always welcome!
