General Announcements

Got Change! FBLA is collecting change at lunch to help a family out. Last year Adopt a Family helped a family by providing tooth brushes, snow boots, and coats. It also provided a small toy for each child. Bring your change and help a family! We will be collecting change at lunch this week.

Hey Community Service Just ‘Cause members! There’s going to be a meeting today, in room C19 right after school. This is an important meeting so try not to miss it!! And remember, new members are always welcome!

There is a lost and found table in the cafeteria this week. Please check the table for any missing belongings.

In honor of Veterans’ Day, November 11th, we would like to honor those Americans who sustained injuries or died in the defense of our nation. We would also like to honor the nurses, doctors and medics who devoted themselves to saving the lives of wounded soldiers, and making the deaths of others less painful. Please remember their contributions this Veterans’ Day. Remember that tomorrow we will have very special veterans visiting with our students in the Forum throughout the day. Please say hi and thank them for their participation in our country’s Armed Forces during difficult times.

Arapahoe’s Literary Magazine is hosting a contest in the cafeteria during both lunches through November 15th, and YOU could be the lucky winner! So buy a ticket or two and Go Warriors!

Congratulations to all 8 Finalists who performed in last night’s First Annual Arapahoe Band Concerto Competition! A special congratulations to our top 3 cash award winning finalists: 1st place - $75 – Sean Case, Marimba; 2nd place - $50 – Colton Crandell, Trumpet; and 3rd place - $25 – Matt Cullen, Bassoon. Way to go Concerto Finalists!!

Hey Key Club Members, remember to be at the Colorado Humane Society at 11am this Saturday. We will walk dogs and have a blast!

Athletics

Girl’s basketball has started their preseason workout. All interested players are invited to attend the workouts thru this Friday, November 10th from 5-7 pm in the Main and Auxiliary gyms.

Attention all interested Track and Field Athletes. There will be a short meeting today, November 9th in S14 immediately after school. We will be discussing our pre-season training sessions and the upcoming indoor and outdoor track seasons. If you cannot make it, please see Mr. Lienemann in the Math Office, or log on to our web site at http://www.arapahoetrack.com/

Your Warriors football team will be hosting the 2nd round of playoffs this Friday, November 10th at Littleton Public Stadium. They will be playing Douglas County with a game time of 7:00 pm. Tickets will go on sale in the cafeteria from 10:30 am – 12:15 pm both Thursday and Friday. Admission prices are $5 for students and $7 for adults. No student passes will be accepted. Go Warriors!

Attention boy’s varsity soccer players. Uniform check in and voting will take place next Monday at 2:30 in room C-7.

Attention Girls Indoor Lacrosse: Saturday’s game schedule is as follows; Gold @ 11:40, Black@12:30
