General Announcements

Attention Dodgeballers! All 20 spots for the DECA Dodgeball tournament have been filled! That means we are not accepting anymore registration packets. If your team didn't make it into the tournament, you should still come out and support your peers. Besides, what's better than seeing some of your favorite teachers get nailed by a dodgeball? Admission to the tournament is only $2 and each paying spectator will automatically be entered into a raffle to win 2 Colorado Avalanche tickets valued at $216..

Attention Dodgeball Team Captains! There will be a MANDATORY meeting on Monday at 2:30 pm in room S1. Only the team captains need to attend the meeting. If the team captain cannot attend, then another player may represent the team. Your team must be represented at this meeting or you will not play in the Dodgeball tournament.

Do you love pizza? Do you love pizza on Saturdays? The Speech and Debate Club is happy to provide an opportunity for you to eat CiCi’s pizza AND help a worthy organization. If you buy a pizza at CiCi’s this Saturday, October 6, and tell them you are supporting the Arapahoe Speech and Debate team, a portion of the proceeds will go the club. Thanks for supporting the SPEECHIES in your area!

Hey Arapahoe. Key Club invites you to come on down to the Carnival at Ames Elementary, 7300 S. Clermont Dr., this Saturday, October 6th. Meet there at 12:30 to get your assignment to help some kids.

Attention all you wonderful Habitat for Humanity members! We have a build date! Please come to room C18 on Monday, October 8th for more information.

“Are you interested in technology? Do you like building things like CO2 cars, Architectural Models, Balsawood bridges? Do you have good leadership and problem-solving skills? Are you interested in Computer Graphic Design or Promotional Graphics? Do you like to compete Locally and Nationally? Then the “Technology Student Association” Club or, “TSA club”, is for you. Please come to the first informational TSA club meeting, next Tues, October 9th in room E10. This will be a brief informational meeting to find out more about this School, State, and National organization. Snacks will be provided! Hope to see you there!! Attention all juniors and sophomores: Are you ready for college? Please come to the Guidance Office to sign up for the PSAT exam. The test is Wednesday morning from 7:30-10:30 on October 17th, so you will not miss any classes. The cost is $20.00. The last day to sign up is Friday October 12th.

Your Warrior Marching Band will be competing in the Annual Pomona Marching Festival at Jeffco’s NAAC Stadium tomorrow. Come on out and cheer on your band at their 2 performance times: 3:45pm for prelims, and between 6:45 and 9:30pm for their finals performance. Go Warrior Band!!

The Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs will be performing in Sutton’s 8th Annual Rocky Mountain Jazz Party on Sunday. The combo performs a 20 minute set at noon. This will take place at the 4 Points by Sheraton, I-25 and Hampden.

Athletics

The boys Varsity soccer team defeated Rock Canyon yesterday 2 – 0. The boys will be playing Gateway today at 4:00 here at AHS.

Congratulations to the sophomore volleyball team for their impressive win against Rock Canyon last night. The team won in two games and have won 5 of their last 6 matches. Keep it going

Congratulations to the Freshman A volleyball team for their two game victory over Rock Canyon! Come cheer us on at our tournament this Saturday at Thunder Ridge!

Congratulations to the Freshmen Black Volleyball team for the win last night over Rock Canyon. The girls played hard and won 25-17, 25-16.

Attention all Arapahoe swimmers and divers! Can’t wait for swimming to start? Thinking of swimming or Diving for Arapahoe this year? Come join the Girls and Boys swim team for a picnic this Saturday, Oct 6th from 1-3 at dekovend park behind the Goodson Rec Center. Food and Drinks will be provided.

Attention all senior Boy swimmers and Divers! We will meet at the pool door immediately after school on Monday for the senior photo. Wear your team shirt and jacket from last year.
