Hey Arapahoe, did you know that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month? This year, CHSAA has asked volleyball teams in the state to "Think Pink" during the week of October 8-13. This Thursday, October 11, we play Mountain Vista at home. This will be our "Think Pink" match. Here are a few of the things the teams will be doing, as well as ways that you can get involved:
1)Every player and coach from both Arapahoe and Mountain Vista will be wearing a pink jersey. We believe that both teams wearing a unified color over the colors of their school sends a powerful message.
2)Cheerleaders from both teams will also be wearing pink.
3)We will be asking for donations at the door. For $1.00, you get a pink ribbon pin, $2.00 a pink bracelet, and $5.00 or more you get a shirt. All money will be dontated.
Games are at 4:30, 5:30, and Varsity begins at 7:00. Please come and cheer the Warriors on to victory. If you can find some in your closet, we'd love for you to wear pink as well!
The softball team will take on Grand Junction in district tournament action this Saturday, October 13th at 10:00 am. The game will be played at Mountain Vista High School. Good luck Lady Warriors!
