General Announcements

Attention freshmen STUCO participants. Please meet on Friday morning at 6:55 in room C-12. If you cannot make it, please see Mrs. Ackerman before then.

Reminder to all Student Council members: There is an important meeting regarding Wish Week Friday morning at 6:45 in room S-9.

Tonight is the Band Concert in the Theatre featuring Small Ensembles, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Ensemble. One of the highlights will be Senior Flute Player, Abbe Haller, performing a Telemann Flute Concerto! The Pre-Concert Ensembles start at 5:45pm, with the main concert following at 7pm. It's free, so come tonight and enjoy some wonderful music!!

Do you feel lucky? Well do ya? Stop by the Library this week and make a guess to win the pot of gold, okay it’s really candy. The winner will be announced on March 17th.

Seniors: If you ordered graduation announcements and were unable to pick them up last week, please see Mrs. Sisler in the guidance office.

Haven’t taken ICA yet? If you can keyboard at least 30 works per minute and know the basics of Word, Excel and Power Point come join us for the Proficiency exam today from 3:30-5:00 in room S2 and S3. If you have any questions, please contact the business department.

Hey students! Be sure to pick up the latest issue of the Arapahoe Herald, Arapahoe’s award winning student newspaper. New issues can be picked up from stands in the cafeteria. You can also read stories online by going to the school’s website and clicking on the Arapahoe Herald link. Don’t miss the scoop on our community’s latest news.

Attention Key Clubbers. We need a lot of help with the Down Syndrome Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. Please come to a special meeting today after school to iron out final details for the event. Key Club needs all members to help with this planning.

Please plan to attend a very important meeting on Monday March 17th right after school in room E2. Please bring with you four to six packages of Easter grass for putting together our Easter baskets for charity. Check out Wal-Mart as they have very inexpensive grass in a variety of colors! Please see Mrs. Rains this week if you have any questions. We will also celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! Those attending state conference in April will need to stay after the meeting to discuss conference plans. See you there AHS FCCLA!

Athletics

Today at 4:00 the Level III Boys Lacrosse will take on Mt. Vista at Powell Middle School. Come cheer the guys on for their first home game!"

Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team as they defeated Littleton 18-4 and will have the honor of keeping the "Little Britches" trophy in our case for another year. Good luck to the team as they will be competing this weekend in Mercer Island, Washington. Tournament results may be found at http://www.westsidelax.com/. Go Warriors!!

Attention to all girls trying out for Cheerleading for the 2008-2009 school year! Please remember all forms are due to Mrs. Weems in the athletic office by this Friday, March 14th.

The Girls JV Lacrosse team defeated Air Academy on Wednesday with a score of 9 to 4. Kayla Fasold scored 5 goals, Amber Olsen scored 2 goals and Maddison Miller and Brittany Walker each scored one goal. The team had assists from Molly Witt, Beth Ambrozic, and Shannan Pullara. The team plays Chaparral tonight at 5:30.
Varsity Girls Lacrosse plays today at 4:15 at Chapparal. Their last game of the week is Saturday at 2:00 at Newton against Ralston Valley. Please come out and support the team in what promises to be a big season for the team. Go Warriors!!

All Special Olympic basketball players and partners need to turn in their uniforms to S-6 this week
