General Announcements

Jingle Bells!  Jingle Bells!  Jingle all the way!  Hi Arapahoe.  We are inching toward our goal of 1,000 toys for the kids at Colfax Elementary and The Denver Indian Center.  We still need 650 toys in the next 4 days.  For some of these children, a gift from Arapahoe may be the only gift they receive.  Bring your toys tomorrow to the Attendance Office. You can make it happen!

Do you have a Christmas Sweater or holiday outfit you are just dying to wear!?  Well now is your chance! This Wednesday, December 5, is Holiday Dress Up day in honor of Toys for Tots!  Make sure to wear holiday attire and bring in a toy or make a donation for the kids at Colfax Elementary! Go Warriors! 

Congratulations to the Varsity Cheers for taking first place at the UCA Mile High Regional Championships! State is this Friday at the Denver coliseum! Please wish them good luck at State!!

Congratulations to the following students for their outstanding achievements in this past Saturday's Chatfield Chill Speech and Debate Tournament at Chatfield High School:
·   Three students placed in the finals in extemporaneous speaking. They were:
o Karl Pierson, first place 
o Peter Galloway, second place 
o Ethan Snow, fifth place.
·   Larson Ross placed third impromptu speaking.
·   The team of Sanjay Patil and Jack Harvey placed sixth in duo interpretation.
·   Students earning superior ribbons for their efforts included:
o Lizzie Stephanie in dramatic interpretation, humorous interpretation, poetry interpretation, and original oratory
o Ben Chisholm, Charlie Dean, Justine Sanders, and Cole Trujillo in extemporaneous speaking
o Ethan Wylie in poetry interpretation
o Aaron Bilek in impromptu speaking.

Warriors, Tomorrow at 8:45 a.m. the Arapahoe Singers will be performing on KEZW Radio. We will be broadcasting their performance in the cafeteria tomorrow at 8:45. Join us in the cafeteria if you have an off hour during second period. 

TSA club will meet this Wednesday after school for our club photo with the yearbook staff.  Our photo is the first one scheduled at 2:30 p.m.  Please be in room E6 ASAP after school to get ready.  We will have a short meeting afterwards.  Hope to see everyone there!!!

Science Bowl Team Members, there will be a mandatory meeting either on Tuesday 12/4 or Thursday 12/6. If you would like to compete, you need to attend one of these meetings. If you can't make it, see Ms. Durow or Mrs. Firchau. 

Sophomores, the PLAN test results are back! If you took the PLAN, please come to the Guidance Office to pick up your results.

The Arapahoe Herald is doing profiles on figure skaters at Arapahoe, and if you are involved with the sport and are interested in being in the newspaper, please contact Mr. Anderson by email or email the Arapahoe Herald at arapahoeherald@gmail.com.


Athletics

Congratulations to the Varsity Wrestling Team and their second place finish on Saturday at the Warrior Invitational. The Warriors had four second place finishers, and one champion. Finalist including Nick Duquette, Mitch Wilson, Joey Laratta, and Michael Thompson. Jaylen Mosquiera was an individual champion at 182 lbs.

Congratulations to the freshman/sophomore wrestling team and their team championship Saturday at Rangeview High School. This was the fourth consecutive tournament championship for the Warriors!
