General Announcements


Juniors (and interested sophomores) registration for PSAT is now open! Come
to the Counseling Department and sign up. Cost for PSAT is $20.  Registration is
from now until Oct. 3rd.   PSAT test will be happening Wednesday morning,
Oct. 10th.  We are encouraging every junior to take this test.  The PSAT is the
only exam to qualify a student for National Merit Scholar Status, when taken
during junior year.
Juniors and seniors!  On Monday, the Post Grad Center will host the University of
Oregon, Tabor College, the University of Missouri, the University of California Santa
Cruz and Calvin College.  Log in to Naviance for details and to sign up! Please note
that today's Baylor college visit will be in S 1414.
Warriors—you looked awesome in your homecoming gear last week. Now that we’re
back to normal, please continue to be mindful of our school dress code. Clothing
items that are not allowed include: pajama pants, hoods, spikes, and clothing
that is revealing. Per school policy, if you are out of dress code, you may be
subject to additional action taken.


Attention All Junior and Seniors: The 2019 trip to Washington DC is here again!
This trip is an amazing opportunity to experience Washington DC and Capitol Hill
first hand. If you are interested in learning more, please come to a student interest
meeting on Tuesday September 25th at 7:55 am in room C1436. Bring a friend and
talk to Mrs. Winn in the Social Studies department if you have any questions!  


Question... when is the next Key Club meeting? Answer... next Monday the 24th!
We'll have a quick meeting in the Forum starting at 3:45, and then bring your shades
because we'll have an ice cream social outside, directly after the meeting! Be there or
be square!

Sources of Strength 2018 is back! We’re a group designated to support hope, help
and strength surrounding mental health. We need peer leaders to come support our
mission and vision! If you are interested in this positive club and want to help out this
great cause check out your school email for an rsvp link for our training this coming
Friday. Thank you Warriors!!


Hey Warriors! The winners are in! Congratulations to the Senior Class for winning
the Class Competition during Homecoming Week! Second place goes to the Freshmen,
followed by the Sophomores and finally the Juniors. Thanks for participating all week along,
Warriors!


Are you tired of working hard? Well it’s time to come play hard at DECA Job Ball,
the annual dodgeball tournament hosted by DECA. This year’s tournament will
take place on October 24th from 6 to 9 pm.  Registration opens Friday
September 21st. Stop by the Business Office to pick up a registration packet
starting this Friday. Teams must consist of 5 boys and 5 girls. Only the first 20 teams
to register will make it in the tournament.

Your Senior Class Panoramic Pictures are in the mail.
If you ordered the pictures, you should be receiving them soon.
If you forgot to order, you aren't out of luck.

Athletics

ATTENTION VOLLEYBALL FANS!! Come out to support your Varsity Volleyball team
tonight as they take on Smoky Hill. The girls take the court at 6.45...GO WARRIORS!

Congratulations to the Girls JV Gymnastics Team for taking 2nd in their meet yesterday!  
Individual achievements include: Alyssa Sampson for placing 3rd All Around and 2nd on
Vault; Hope Jones for placing 3rd on Beam and Vault and 4th on Floor; Shia Coughlin for
placing 5th on Floor; Michaela Cain for placing 5th on Vault; and Talia Hanson for placing
6th on Beam.  The Varsity Team took 3rd with Hope Jones placing 5th on Bars.
WAY TO GO WARRIORS!!!

Congratulations to your Arapahoe boys golf team! They are now not only centennial
league champions but also regional champions.  They beat the 15 team field yesterday
at Murphy Creek Golf Club outdistancing 2nd place by seven strokes. A Special
congratulations to Jack Tickle and Riley Rottschafer for sharing first place honors shooting
one under par.  Next up the state championships October 1st and 2nd. Go Warriors!
