General Announcements

*Please remember to return your daily checked out Chromebooks and Lenovo chargers. As of 9:00 AM this morning we're out of both Chromebooks and Lenovo chargers.

*10th, 11th, 12th students… Do you have an extra hour or two in your schedule? The Library needs help throughout the week. Stop by the library to see the times available.

*For those of you traveling to Washington DC this March, your final deposit is due by this Thursday, January 16th.  Please come see Ms Winn if you have any questions.  

*Attention Juniors: are you still trying to earn competency toward graduation in English and/or Math? Or do you have post-secondary goals that involve joining the military? If either of these apply to you, you have the opportunity to sign up and take the ASVAB-- the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery-- for FREE at AHS this Friday, January 17, from 12:00-3:30. To sign up, please see Ms. Vail in the counseling office.

*ATTENTION FBLA!!!  Competition Season is officially beginning!  If you are competing in a testing event or need to take a roleplay test, testing sessions will take place on the following dates:  After school this week Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and before school on Wednesday from 8:15-9:15 AM. On behalf of Mr. Sawyer, Mrs. Swank, and the FBLA officer team, good luck with your event and we will see you at the district conference on Tuesday, February 4th!

*Taking the ACT in the near future?  Sycamore Learning will host an ACT Seminar at Arapahoe on February 3rd and 4th.  To register, go to www.prepforthefuture.com.

*Free Alive @ 25 class on Wednesday, January 22nd, 3:45pm - 8:15 PM in room W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee.  If you are 15 1/2 you can get your driver’s permit after taking the class and many insurance companies will give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us. To register for the class the password is "arapahoe".  Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.

Athletics    

*Your LPS hockey team had another great weekend of hockey! They shut out Mullen Friday 3-0 and Saturday 4-0. They’ll be playing in Minnesota this weekend so stay tuned next week for upcoming game information.

*All boys interested in the Warrior Boys Swim & Dive Team this spring season please attend a meeting in the forum after school this Tuesday, January 14.

*All girl golfers who plan on playing this Spring: there will be a very short mandatory meeting in S1414 after school this week Wednesday, January 15th. Please see Coach Riordan with any questions.
