General Announcements
*Attention Juniors: are you still trying to earn competency toward graduation in English and/or Math? Or do you have post-secondary goals that involve joining the military? If either of these apply to you, you have the opportunity to sign up and take the ASVAB--the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery-- for FREE at AHS on Friday, January 17, from 12:00-3:30. To sign up, please see Ms. Vail in the counseling office.
*ATTENTION FBLA!!! Competition Season is officially beginning! If you are competing in a testing event or need to take a role play test, testing sessions will take place on the following dates: After school January 13, 14, and 15 and before school on January 15 from 8:15-9:15 AM. On behalf of Mr. Sawyer, Mrs. Swank, and the FBLA officer team, good luck with your event and we will see you at the district conference on Tuesday, February 4th!

*Free Alive @ 25 class on Wednesday, January 22nd, 3:45pm - 8:15 PM in room
W1874. If you are voluntarily taking the class, the Sheriff's Office pays for your $79 fee. If you are 15 1/2 you can get your driver’s permit after taking the class and many insurance companies will give you a discount. This is a 4 1/2 hour class. Sign up on-line at www.aliveat25.us. To register for the class the password is "arapahoe". Any questions, ask Deputy Englert.
Athletics
*Come out to cheer on our LPS Hockey Team this weekend as they face Mullen twice, tonight is an away game at the Edge Ice Arena at 8:30 PM and on Saturday they play at home at South Suburban at 6:30 PM.
*All girl golfers who plan on playing this Spring: there will be a very short mandatory meeting in S1414 after school next week Wednesday, January 15th. Please see Coach Riordan with any questions
*Support the Girls Swim and Dive team by eating at the Varsity Inn this Saturday, January 11th. You can go for lunch, dinner or snacks because the Varsity Inn is generously donating 20% of all food sales for the whole day! Again, please join us at the Varsity Inn on Saturday, January 11th to support Girls Swim and Dive. (click here for the flier)
*After our Varsity basketball teams crush Heritage on Saturday afternoon, head over to Chipotle with your friends to support your Toms! Don't forget to mention the Toms fundraiser when checking out any time between 3:00-7:00 PM and Chipotle will donate toward their upcoming trip to Nationals! Do good with burritos!!!
*Attention all volleyball players in grades 9, 10 & 11. Please make sure you sign up with Coach Hamilton to work the RMR Tournament being held at AHS next weekend. Please read and respond to the WhatsApp volleyball post.
