General Announcements
*Warrior Week begins Monday, but you can start giving TODAY! Buy your $10 Warrior Week shirt at lunch today for the assembly on Monday. Let’s show Stefan and his family how much we support their journey by wearing his favorite color, RED! Also, go to the Varsity Inn on Saturday, April 15th 11:00am-8:00pm. !5% of sales will be donated to help us reach our fundraising goal.
*On Monday, let’s show Stefan some love by wearing his favorite color, RED to the assembly. Don’t forget, bring cash to donate during the Miracle Minute during the assembly. Also, plan on eating at Parrys Pizza in Southglenn, Monday night and they will give back 20% of what they make to Stefan’s wish. Tell them you are there to support Warrior Week.
*Attention current Sophomores and Juniors - Link Crew wants you to lead through activities, leadership class, and relationships. If you are interested in being a LINK Crew Leader for the 2023-2024 school year, complete an online application by TODAY! Link Crew applications can be found on our Google Site found under Activities on the Arapahoe web page. We look forward to working alongside you in servant leadership. See Mrs. Moritz, Mrs. Bradley, Mr. Trotter, or Mr. Brandberg with questions.
*Warriors - “Head Above Water”, a Capstone Project here at Arapahoe, is looking to help kids aging out of the foster care system. We could really use your support on our GoFundMe named "Help Foster Kids Who are Aging Out" and through the donation of apartment supplies. Look for posters around the school with the QR codes as well as donation boxes. Thank you for supporting this great cause!
*This year’s AP Environmental Science students invite you to celebrate Earth Day on Friday, April 21st from 7:45am-8:25am in the Science Office. You can participate by wearing reused fashion including vintage items borrowed from friends or family members or items found at thrift stores. Participants who come to the science office will enter raffles, take photos, and get stickers/flowers to show their commitment! The purpose is to help all Warriors feel empowered to encourage thoughtful spending, demonstrate how easy it is to reuse instead of buying new, and to shine a light on the environmental impact of “fast fashion.”
*The Art Department would like to invite you to check out our annual spring art show, the AHS "Art Attack." The show is currently on display in the East Wing of the building, the cafeteria showcase (by the counseling office), as well as in the library. This is a student submission show, displaying artwork created by our students both in and out of our art classes. The Art Attack will be on display from now until Friday, May 12th.
