Students: To register for Career Day, go to the AHS Career Day Portal site. This is different than the regular LPS portal URL. The URL address is printed in the instructions for Career Day Requests. Attention sophomores and juniors! Are you interested in taking college courses next school year while you’re still enrolled at AHS? If so, you must attend a mandatory informational meeting on Wednesday, February 28th during first or second lunch in the forum. Please see your counselor if you have any questions!
Hey all Seniors!! We’re only a few short months away from graduation and next week you will have a chance to make an impact on the big day!! Tomorrow, February 22nd and Friday, February 23rd, in the cafeteria you can vote for your favorite teachers to read off our names at graduation. Hooray Class of 2007!!!
Hungry? How about all you can eat pizza for the low, low price of $4.59? Please stop in and have lunch or dinner anytime tomorrow, February 22nd, at Cici’s Pizza to help raise money for the freshmen class. ATTENTION STATE DECA STUDENTS!! Our meeting has moved! We will now be meeting tomorrow right after school in room S1. You must come to get some last minute details and your state shirt!! If you can’t make the meeting please see Grantham as soon as possible!
Tomorrow night is the Winter Jazz Concert in the cafeteria starting at 7pm. It’s free and will feature Jazz II, The Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs, and Jazz I. Dessert and beverages will be served throughout the concert. Join us for an entertaining, fun evening of great jazz!
Athletics
The girls and boys basketball teams have made it to the state playoffs! Both teams have a bye the first round and will host the second round game here in the AHS Sitting Eagle Gymnasium. The girls will play this Friday at 7 pm. The boys will play on Saturday at 7 pm. Student passes will not be accepted at the games. Admission will be $3 for ALL students and $5 for adults. Good luck to both teams!
Boys swimming practice will begin at the regular time on Wednesday. Our assistant coaches will handle practice.
Student Initiated Groups-
Attention Warrior Bowlers— the bowling club will meet at the AMF after 3 o’clock today. Come and have some fun. See you there.
Hey warriors! Don't forget about the Animals Deserve Rights Club meeting tomorrow in room W104 at 2:20! We have a lot to talk about with the new Burberry protests. Also, come and find out more details about our animal shelter visit coming up on March 2. Anyone is welcome to join us to the shelter and it's a great way to earn NHS service hours! Young Republicans: There will be a meeting after school today, Wednesday, in room C-26 to discuss our debate on Domestic Policy. See you there!
