Attention sophomores and juniors! Are you interested in taking college courses next school year while you’re still enrolled at AHS? If so, you must attend a mandatory informational meeting on Wednesday, February 28th during first or second lunch in the forum. Please see your counselor if you have any questions!
Hey all Seniors!! We’re only a few short months away from graduation and next week you will have a chance to make an impact on the big day!! Today and tomorrow, in the cafeteria you can vote for your favorite teachers to read off our names at graduation. Hooray Class of 2007!!!
Hungry? How about all you can eat pizza for the low, low price of $4.59? Please stop in and have lunch or dinner anytime today, February 22nd, at Cici’s Pizza to help raise money for the freshmen class. Be sure when you pay that you tell the cashier that you are there to support AHS!! See you Thursday!!
ATTENTION STATE DECA STUDENTS!! Our meeting has moved! We will now be meeting today right after school in room S1. You must come to get some last minute details and your state shirt!! If you can’t make the meeting please see Grantham as soon as possible!
Tonight is the Winter Jazz Concert in the cafeteria starting at 7pm. It’s free and will feature Jazz II, The Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs, and Jazz I. Dessert and beverages will be served throughout the concert. Join us for an entertaining, fun evening of great jazz!
A quick reminder from the Post Grad Center: Check the white board outside the Guidance and Post Grad Centers regularly for a list of colleges visiting Arapahoe. Check the visit schedule on Naviance, sign up and get a pass in the Guidance Center to visit with college representatives. Kansas State is visiting today; CSU Pueblo and Metro are visiting on Friday.
Athletics
The girls and boys basketball teams have made it to the state playoffs! Both teams have a bye the first round and will host the second round game here in the AHS Sitting Eagle Gymnasium. The girls will play this Friday at 7 pm. The boys will play on Saturday at 7 pm. Student passes will not be accepted at the games. Admission will be $3 for ALL students and $5 for adults. Good luck to both teams!
The girl’s golf team will practice at South Suburban today. All girl golfers need to be at practice at 3pm.
Attention Wrestlers. Today is equipment check in. You can turn in you equipment beginning 6th period in the wrestling room.
