General Announcements

“Gimme some sugar!” The Class of 2009 will be selling heart-shaped cookies from Cookies by Design especially for Valentine’s Day! Starting today, in the cafeteria during both lunches, for $2.00 you can order a special treat to be delivered to your special someone on February 14th!

Come on back Muse members!! We’re on our last stages of selecting and editing for this year’s Muse and we need you all to come and help us edit the final selections! We’ll be meeting in our usual place, C16, to share the work of proof reading and organizing the writing, viewing the art work and selecting our cover. We have lots of important work to do and we need you there. Rumor has it there might be pizza too. All Musers come to C16, today at 2:30.

DID YOU KNOW ... If you're a kid, your heart is about the same size as your fist, and if you're an adult, it's about the same size as two fists. Sign up for the Blood Drive during lunch hours this week. Students ages 16 and older can donate this year. Sixteen and Seventeen year olds just need parent permission. The Blood Drive will take place on Thursday, Feb. 15th.

French Club will be going to dinner tomorrow, February 8! Please see Ms. Condon in the World Language Office for further info! Thanks!

Tonight is the Annual LPS Jazz Showcase featuring all the jazz bands from the district’s middle and high schools. You’re all welcome to come to this free event in the Powell Middle School Cafetorium. Arapahoe’s Jazz II starts off the evening at 5:30pm, and our top jazz band, Arapahoe Jazz I, performs at 7:50pm.

A reminder that CSU Engineering Day is this Saturday, Feb 10th on the CSU campus. It is FREE and open to all students. To register or for information, call 970-491-6220 or come to the Post Grad Center for information.

Athletics

Attention girls Lacrosse Players. Please make sure you have your Arapahoe registration forms in to Mrs. Scoglio before February 20th. You will not be allowed to try out unless they are in.

SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION will take place in Room S3 from 2:30-3:30 pm beginning on Monday, February 12th. Boys and Girls Track will register on Monday, Baseball and Boys Swimming on Tuesday and Girls Tennis, Soccer and Golf on Wednesday. Please stop by the Athletic Office to pick up all paperwork that must be completed before you come to registration.

Girls interested in playing Golf this spring must attend an informational meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 13th after school in room S8. Please see Coach Abner if you cannot attend
