General Announcements

HEY WARRIORS! Show your Homecoming spirit by coming to the DECA Homecoming BBQ. It will be on Wednesday, Sept. 12th during both lunches! All you need is $3!! SEE YOU THERE!

Hey Warriors—Link Crew is selling Homecoming t-shirts for 5 bucks. Look for them this week thru Wednesday in the cafeteria during both lunches. Black or Gold will be available. Don’t miss out. You definitely need one of these shirts for class color day.

Hey Freshman! Want to be prepared for Class Color Day? Come to the T-Shirt Decorating Party on Wednesday, September 12 from 2:30 to 3:30 in the cafeteria. There will be shirt paints, food, and a GREAT time!

Homecoming Tickets are on sale now. You can buy your homecoming tickets during lunch hours in the café. Tickets are $10.00 in advance and $15.00 at the door.

The Lunchtime activity for Tuesday, Sept. 11th is Donut on a String. Earn some points for your class and participate in this fun competition.

Yearbook DVDs are available in the Attendance Office. Please bring your ID.

Want to really get involved at Arapahoe High School? Come to the Key Club organizational meeting held today in room C-16 after school. Key Club is a service organization that includes activities both at school and in the Denver area. Key Club is a fun way to be involved in your school with a lot of fun people. Again, meetings are Mondays after school in C-16.

There will be a Wild Warrior Women meeting on Tuesday Sept, 11 at 2:25 in W-105. Please bring your money for decorations. It is an important meeting, so if you can’t make it, please see Ms. Durow.

Hey Habitat for Humanity members, we have another meeting today after school today in C-18.

Congratulations to the following finalists who will be performing in the Second Annual Arapahoe Band Concerto Competition to be held in the Theater on November 1st: Junior Pianist, Wes Leffingwell; Senior Flute Player, Roxy Steinberg; Senior Bassoonist, Matt Cullen; Senior Flute Player, Abbe Haller; and Sophomore Horn Player, Vikky DeLaTorre. Congratulations to all of you terrific musicians!!

Attention Chess Players! Please plan to attend the Chess Club Meeting in the Enrichment Room by E-3 after school today. All levels of players are welcome. See you later!

Speech Club will be meeting this afternoon after school in Room C15. This is our regular Monday meeting time. Members should bring in dues and registration forms

Athletics
The boys Varsity soccer team defeated Cherry Creek 4 - 0 in the Warrior Invitational Tournament Championship Saturday night. This is the boys 2nd tournament championship in a row. Congrats ABK.

Congratulations go out to the Arapahoe Toms!! They won first place in the jazz division at the Elitches Spirit Fest this past weekend.
Way to go Toms! Look for us this week during homecoming; performing at the Bonfire, Pep Assembly, ½ times of the game, and riding on the fire truck during the parade.

Congratulations to the Freshmen Football team for a decisive victory over Douglas County Saturday 41-8.The warriors were led by a staunch defense that recorded 3 interception by: Brett Mentor, Justin Dodd and Joe Selzer. Special Teams touchdowns were scored by Brett Mentor and Skylar Harding. Offensive touchdowns were scored by Adam Lindell, Jarad Lombardi, Will Ratterman and Tyler Balli, Josh Escue threw 4 touchdown passes. It was a Great team effort. The Freshmen team is currently undefeated and will face Gateway on Saturday Morning at 9:00 here at AHS.

Hey you Pride Tribers!! Please get your T-shirt money ($13) into Ms. Durow by Wednesday 9/12. There is an envelope on my desk.
Also, remember to get out there and support your fellow Warriors.
Today, September 10th Softball vs. DCHS – 4 pm @ dekoevand ParkTuesday, September 11th Volleyball vs. Ponderosa - 7:00 pm @ AHS Soccer vs. DCHS – 7:00 pm @ DCHS Congratulations again to the freshmen black volleyball team on their win over Eaglecrest Friday. The girls won 25-11, and 25-7. Keep up the great work girls.
