Have you ever wanted to demolish a car with a sledge hammer? Well, now is your chance and you won’t have to fence hop afterwards. This Friday during both lunches and after school, the Class of 2009 will be hosting a car smash in the circle driveway to get our team pumped for the Heritage football game. For only one dollar a swing, you can show your school spirit by dominating a car with a sledge hammer.
Hey Warriors! FCCLA (that’s Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) is sponsoring a free ice cream social today after school in room E2. You heard us right – it is totally free! No tickets are required. Come enjoy ice cream, learn about FCCLA, and meet new friends.

Hey Warriors!! Today after school is the first Animals Deserve Rights meeting of the year! We are so excited to get involved and have so much to talk about! The meeting is after school in room W105! And you don't have to be a vegetarian to join!
Attention all Habitat for Humanity members: Our next meeting will be Monday the 24th in room C18 immediately after school. We will be discussing warehouse opportunities as well as a new and exciting opportunity for ALL members. As always, new members are welcome to join us!
Attention All student council officers! You are all invited to attend the Fall State Leadership Conference at Highlands Ranch HS on Oct. 15 and 16th. If you want to attend you must rsvp to Mrs. Abner by Friday, Sept. 21st. We can invite 20 students to the conference so get your rsvp request in asap.
Seniors! Don’t forget Senior Memory Blocks are due October 15 – your parents received the order form last May.

Athletics
Hey Warriors – tickets for the football game this Friday against Heritage will be sold during both lunches from 10:30 am to 12:15 pm Tuesday thru Friday. Tickets are $5 for adults, and $4 for students grades K-12. Arapahoe student SBA I.D. cards will be accepted at the gate. Game time is 4:00 pm at LPSS. Go Warriors!
Attention all current AHS Girls Lax players, as well as interested Lacrosse players. There will be an Informational Meeting for you and your parent(s) on Tuesday, September 25th from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the AHS Cafeteria. Information regarding the spring season, registration costs and procedures, uniforms, etc. will be discussed at the meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!
The boys Varsity soccer team made it past Highlands Ranch yesterday 2 – 0.
The boys Junior Varsity crushed Highlands ranch yesterday afternoon 7 – 0.
The Freshmen Black Volleyball Team lost last night in a very exciting match against Regis. The final scores were 23-25, 25-15, 13-15.
Student Initiated Groups-
Bocce, Bocce, Bocce…It’s time for the 1st Bocce Ball Club social gathering at Clarkson Park at 3:00 on Thursday , Sept. 20. Don’t get intimidated by our good looks, this club is open to all interested in playing this old Italian leisure sport. Questions? Please contact Jeff Hahl, Miles Lepry, or Sam Harper.
The Bowling Club meets today after school from 3 to 5. We are still taking orders for the Bowling Shirt if you are interested. See you at the AMF.
