General Announcements

Hey Habitat for Humanity members! Our first meeting will be today, September 5th in room C-18. New members, come for an introduction to what Habitat is all about. Veterans, this meeting is a must if you are interested in a leadership position.

If you didn’t get your video yearbook during lunch Friday, pick one up today during lunch.

Auditions for the fall show…”Our Town” will be held today. See callboard or Mr. Earley for details. Tech sign up sheets will go up next week.

Seniors! Don’t forget Senior Memory Blocks are due October 15 – your parents received the order form last May.

If you ordered a yearbook last year, please stop by the video yearbook table during lunch to pick up your DVD. DVDs will be distributed Friday only.

Spanish club will be having its first meeting of the year today, September 5th at 2:30 in C-21. Join us for some chips and salsa!

Attention all ART CLUB members! We are meeting every day after school in E11 and working on our Homecoming float. Plan to come on the days you can help.

Attention Wild Warrior Women…We will be having an important meeting this Thursday, Sept. in room W105 at 2:30 to discuss homecoming and decorating. Also, remember to bring $3.00 if you plan on taking part in the homecoming decoration party Thursday, September 13th after school.

Hey National Honor Society members! Tomorrow is our first meeting of the year. Come to the forum after school at 2:30 to pick up your service logs and learn about the revised guidelines for NHS!

Students, if you were nominated to be on the Homecoming Royalty court, you must be in the gym for Homecoming Royalty Assembly rehearsal at 6:45am on Monday, Sept. 10th. All Royalty nominees must be at the rehearsal.

Start spreading the news AHS students!!! Homecoming 2007 starts next week!! That is right, Sept. 10 - 15th is Homecoming Week. New York, New York is our theme! Here is the dress up day schedule. Monday, Sept. 10th is black and white formal day in honor of our Royalty Court. Tuesday, Sept. 11th is All American hero day. Dress up in red, white, and blue or as your favorite American Hero like a fireman or military soldier. Wednesday, Sept. 12th is Wacky Tacky Wednesday. Find some clothes that look really tacky together. If you need help, ask Mr. Trotter what that looks like. Thursday, Sept. 13th is 1964 day. This is the year that AHS opened so dress like you would in the 60's. Friday, Sept. 14th is Class Color day. You know what that means, Fresh and juniors wear gold and sophomores and seniors wear black. Get all psyched up for our big Pep Assembly that day. Show your school spirit by participating in all these dress up days. Your classes will receive points daily.

The Homecoming Dance is on Saturday, Sept. 15th from 8-11pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10.00 and at the door for $15.00. Tickets will go on sale Sept. 10- 15th in the cafeteria. Remember, If you are planning to invite a Non AHS student guest, you must complete guest passes and they can be picked up in the guidance office from Mrs. Oeinck. The Homecoming Dance is a semi formal affair. No one will be allowed to wear denim or shorts into the dance.

A variety of Lunchtime activities and games will take place next week. Participate and earn class points for your classes. Most lunchtime activities will take place outside on the front lawn during both lunches.

Athletics
The ABK Boy’s Soccer season kicks off tonight with the16th Annual Warrior Classic. Come out and watch the JV boys square off with Overland at 4 o'clock on the south field here at AHS while the Varsity boys meet Overland at Littleton Public School Stadium at 7:30.
Attention Warrior Bowlers. Please join us for our first meeting at the AMF from 3 to 5 this afternoon. See u there.
