General Announcements

Heart health trivia for today: Although you can't just go to a human spare-parts store to buy a new replacement body part, organ transplants take place every day. The cost of a transplant to replace either your heart or lung would be approximately $100,000 each. Therefore, THE GREATEST WEALTH IS YOUR HEALTH. Start investing in it today!

Perfect gift for Valentine’s Day… GIVE BLOOD! Sign up to donate blood during lunch hours this week. All 16, 17 and 18 year olds can donate on Tuesday, February 12th. Sign up for your donation time. Give Blood and Save a Life!

Attention Seniors: If you have not ordered your graduation announcements please pick up an order form from Mrs. Sisler in the Guidance office or in the main office.

This announcement is for all 17 and 18 year old young men. If you have not registered with the Selective Service, this is the time to do it. Federal law requires all men living in the US to register within a month of their 18th birthday. Registering keeps you eligible for college loans, job training, government jobs and driver’s license renewal in most states. You can get a Selective Service registration card at your local post office or register online at http://www.sss.gov/. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Snyder in the Guidance Office. Be sure to register for Selective Service as soon as you can. Your future depends on it.

Congratulations to our talented mathematicians! Sean Burke and Natalie Jones earned a perfect score on the latest Colorado Math League Competition! Students who only missed one problem and earned a score of ‘5’ are: Sean Egan, Krista D’Innocenzo, Jeff Nadel, Melanie Rothman, Matt Arnold, Brett Reeder, Kevin Matthews, Alex Stimen and Nick Snyder. Great job Arapahoe!
