General Announcements
Congratulations to all members of the Winter Guard for scoring 65 points at their first competition of the year! This took place on Saturday, at Rampart HS in Colorado Springs. Way to go ladies!!

Hey Key Club, the t-shirts are finally ready, so if you have paid for one, come on down to C-16 next Monday after school to pick them up and to learn about some new opportunities to help the community.

Attention all thespians!!! Sign up to compete in our Monologue Duet Competition on Tuesday February 26!! You may compete with monologue or duet, acting or musical. See the call board for details.

Hey Seniors! It’s time to choose our class motto, song, color, and flower! If you have any suggestions, please submit them to Mrs. Hitchens, Mrs. Melin, or your senior class officers: Joe Ruybal, Lily Nguyen, Jordan Kiszla, and Dana Kimpton. We will be voting on the final choices in the upcoming weeks.

There will be a quick SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAM meeting this afternoon after school. Please try to attend.

Athletics

The Arapahoe girls swimming and diving team placed 6th at the State Championship meet on Friday. Paige Newell, Megan Peron Morgan Turley and Lauren Moehlenpah placed 8th in the 200 Medley Relay. The 200 Free relay of Sam Abrams, Lauren Moehlenpah, Emily Thompson and Devon Smith placed 6th while the 400 relay team of Paige Newell, Devon Smith, Emily Thompson and Morgan Turley finished in 8th place. Divers Dani Howe and Beth Ambrozic placed 10th and 14th while sophomore Devon Smith was 8th in the 200 Free. Paige Newell was 3rd in the 200 IM and 2nd in the 500 freestyle. Paige also broke a 25 year old team record in the 500 free by six seconds. Finally, Andrea Liley placed 16th in the 500 free while Megan Perron was 13th in the 100 breast stroke

19 members of the Arapahoe track and field team traveled this past weekend to Pocatello, Idaho to compete in one of the premier high school indoor meets in the country. The sprint medley relay team of Josh Sabey, Reger Craigo, Nick Forrest, and Kyle Lyons were crowned champions of that event. The time that they ran was not only good enough to win but it currently ranks them 3rd in the nation. Congratulations to all of the athletes who competed at the meet. Track Practice will officially start today at @ 2:45 on the track

Boys basketball will play Heritage Tuesday, February 19th here at Arapahoe. Tickets for the game will be sold during lunches today. Prices are $5 for adults and $4 for students with no SBA I.D. Senior Citizens will be admitted for free. You MUST bring your student ID to the game or you will have to pay $4 for a ticket that night! “
