CDOT reported that 43 people aged 16-20 died in Colorado car crashed during 2007, a steep drop from previous years. By buckling up every time, we can continue to reduce this number. Student Council and the Remember Campaign ask you to buckle up and take care of one another.

Congratulations to the Freshmen Football team for their impressive 35-6 victory yesterday over ThunderRidge. It was another total team effort. The victory pushes the Freshmen record to 4-0 and sets them up for a great contest next Saturday against Cherry Creek here at AHS @ 9:00 AM. Plan to come out and support your undefeated Freshman Warriors.
Congrats to the Boys’ JV Soccer team as they defeated Eaglecrest 3 – 1 yesterday.

Congrats to Varsity, Sophomore, and Freshman Volleyball for their wins last night against Overland. They face Grandview and Eaglecrest next week. Good luck!

Link Crew is collecting any used cell phones for the Recycle and Reward program, which raises money to send to the troops overseas. Drop off phones on the counter in the English Dept. through Friday, September 25th.
Attention all Junior and Senior Athletes: There will be a lunch meeting during either 1st or 2nd lunch today in the forum for those athletes who are considering playing inter-collegiate sports. We will discuss recruiting, the NCAA Clearinghouse and much more as you prepare academically and athletically for the college level of your sport. Bring a pen and paper and we will provide handouts as well.
Bonjour! French Club will be meeting today at 2:20 p.m. in room C-20! Please come to help us set up activities for the year. Merci.

By buckling up every time, we can reduce this number drastically. Student Council and the Remember Campaign ask you to buckle up and take care of one another.

Our boys and girls cross country teams competed at Heritage's Liberty Bell Invite last Friday. The AHS Boys’ 5K school record, set in 1991, was broken by two runners. Junior Connor Winter ran a 15:21 and senior Jason Kearns ran a 15:38. Freshman Gerry Goldy broke the school's freshman record with a time of 16:56. The JV girls came in first place. This Thursday we will be in Colorado Springs to compete at the Coronado Invite.
Congratulations to the Freshmen Football team for their convincing 37-7 victory over Overland high school on Saturday here at AHS. The win pushes the Freshmen to an undefeated 3-0 mark. The victory was once again a total team effort. Thanks to all of our fans that came out and gave their support to the team. Our next is this Thursday afternoon at ThunderRidge High school @ 4:00. We could really use your support at that game, see you there!

Our boys and girls cross country teams competed at Heritage's Liberty Bell Invite last Friday. The AHS Boys’ 5K school record, set in 1991, was broken by two runners. Junior Connor Winter ran a 15:21 and senior Jason Kearns ran a 15:38. Freshman Gerry Goldy broke the school's freshman record with a time of 16:56. The JV girls came in first place. This Thursday we will be in Colorado Springs to compete at the Coronado Invite.
Congratulations to the Freshmen Football team for their convincing 37-7 victory over Overland high school on Saturday here at AHS. The win pushes the Freshmen to an undefeated 3-0 mark. The victory was once again a total team effort. Thanks to all of our fans that came out and gave their support to the team. Our next is this Thursday afternoon at ThunderRidge High school @ 4:00. We could really use your support at that game, see you there!

Congratulations to the Girls’ Sophomore Volleyball team for finishing second in the Heritage tournament this weekend. Danielle Shewmake was named to the all-tournament team for her outstanding play. Great job ladies.
Congratulations to the Arapahoe Cross Country teams that participated in the Cherry Creek Invite on Friday. Out of 21 teams, our boys got 2nd and the girls 8th. Our JV girls got first. Congratulations to Ashley Limes who got 9th in the Varsity girls race. Jason Kearns got 4th and Connor Winter got 5th in the boys race. We are at Heritage's Liberty Bell Invite this Friday.

Be sure to attend the football game tonight and watch your Warriors take on Regis at LPS stadium at 7:00 p.m. Tomorrow, don’t forget the homecoming parade is at 10 a.m. Come admire the talents of many clubs and sports as they cruise around the school. Tomorrow is also the dance! For only ten dollars, you can get your groove on. Student council is selling tickets in the cafeteria during both lunches today. You can also buy your tickets for fifteen dollars at the door.
Students are reminded to bring his/her ID to the Homecoming Dance Saturday night. Please remember that the Homecoming Dance is a semi-formal event and no denim or blue jeans are allowed. Please dress in semi formal attire.

Congratulations to both the Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country teams for outstanding performances at our own Arapahoe Warrior Invite. The Boys’ Varsity score 2nd overall, while the Girls’ Varsity got 3rd. Connor Winter got 2nd and Jason Kearns got 5th in the varsity race. Gerry Goldy won the Boys’ Freshman/Sophomore race while Colleen Koening got 2nd in the Girls’ race. And a special thanks to all the faculty that helped out as well as the many AHS students that came to support our runners.
Congratulations to the Freshmen football team for their exciting victory Saturday 28-17 over Eaglecrest. It was a total TEAM victory. Congratulations to both the Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country teams for outstanding performances at our own Arapahoe Warrior Invite. The Boys’ Varsity score 2nd overall, while the Girls’ Varsity got 3rd. Connor Winter got 2nd and Jason Kearns got 5th in the varsity race. Gerry Goldy won the Boys’ Freshman/Sophomore race while Colleen Koening got 2nd in the Girls’ race. And a special thanks to all the faculty that helped out as well as the many AHS students that came to support our runners.
Congratulations to the Freshmen football team for their exciting victory Saturday 28-17 over Eaglecrest. It was a total TEAM victory. Thanks to all of you that traveled out to Eaglecrest to support the team .Come out and support your Freshmen team this Saturday here on our home field at 9:00 am when we take on Regis.

Congratulations to the Varsity and Junior Varsity golfers who both finished in 1st place at the Centennial League tournament at Saddlerock Golf Course on Tuesday. The Varsity was led by seniors Brian Zenk and Joe Smith, each with a 76. The JV was led by Taylor Motsinger with 82. In the overall standings the Varsity is in 2nd place in the Centennial League and the JV is in first place.
The varsity volleyball team kicked off it's season last night with a huge win in three games over Mountain Vista. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the team! Their next game is next week Thursday against #1 ranked Chaparral for homecoming. Come and cheer them on to victory!

Those of you who signed up at the Club Café, we’re looking forward to seeing you! We are starting a brand new year and have a new leadership team and a creative crew of students who are interested in making this year’s magazine the best ever! Our meetings will be the first and third Thursdays of the month. If you have questions about it, ask one of the faculty sponsors about it: those sponsors are Mr. Miles, Mrs. Davis, and Mrs. Cladney in the Language Arts office, and Mrs. Hitchens in the Art department.
