General Announcements

Hey Warriors, the 2011 Prom Fashion and Talent Show is tomorrow. Show times are 5 and 7 pm. Don’t miss out on the stunning tuxedos, breath taking dresses, and dazzling talent show acts. Buy your ticket today during lunch.

Any prom royalty nominee, please pick up your ticket to the Prom Fashion and Talent Show from Mrs. Lhotta in either room S-9 or the Math office.

Attention Warriors, this year’s upcoming Prom will be held at the Wildlife Experience on Saturday April 30. Prom tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria during both lunches starting on Friday April 22. The price of one ticket is $35 ahead of time and $40 at the door. Make sure to get your ticket for this year’s “moon lit serenade”.

Attention Seniors and Juniors: If you plan to bring a guest from another school to Prom and/or After Prom, please make sure you pick up your 2011 Prom Guest Approval Form in the Attendance office. These forms are due back to Mrs. Gottlieb no later than Tuesday, April 26th at 3:00 p.m.

Up, Up and Away in 10 Days. Hey Arapahoe come tour the world in Hot Air Balloons in only one short night/morning at After Prom. From the Streets of Paris to the Wilds of Alaska, we will have it all for you. As always, Great Give Aways and a night to remember. Tickets will be on sale starting later this week.

Seniors, interested in speaking at graduation? Auditions take place Thursday, April 28. Sign up by April 22 at Mrs. Sisler’s desk in the Guidance Office or see Mr. Kleeman in Language Arts Office.

Attention cast members of How to Succeed… all scripts are due back to Mr. Ahern by this Thursday – No exceptions.

Congratulations to Austin White and Andrew Walker on being selected as the 2011-2012 Warrior Band and Color Guard Drum Majors. Austin and Andrew will lead the Warriors to numerous victories next fall.

Have you always wanted to use the school loud speaker? Would you like sharing the Arapahoe news for the day? If you are interested in reading the daily announcements next year, sign up for auditions in the Attendance Office with Mrs. Ayres. Auditions will be held May 4 right after school.

Seniors, See Mrs. Sisler in the guidance office if you need extra graduation announcements.

Congratulations for all the FBLA members that attended the State conference. We have 4 members that qualified for National Competition this summer. Congratulations FBLA.

FBLA is taking officer applications for next year. Please stop by the business office and pick up an application and try out your leadership skills. Applications are in the business office.

Juniors, this is a reminder to bring a calculator and two No.2 non-mechanical pencils for the ACT test that will be taking place next Wednesday, April 27th. If you have not yet registered for the test, you need to stop by the Guidance Office as soon as possible to do so.

There will be a mandatory Senior Class Meeting on Wednesday, April 27, at 10:30am in the theater. Please enter through the East Entrance or Cafeteria.

Athletics

The JV tennis team continued their undefeated season by beating Cherry Creek’s #1 JV team 14-3. Way to go Warriors. The last home match is next Tuesday at Powell. Come out and support the team against Mullen.

The JV Black girls' lacrosse team came away with an 8-4 win over Air Academy last night. A surge both defensively and offensively in the second half sealed the victory for the Warriors--way to go!

Yesterday the Boys Lacrosse JV-Gold team scored another victory over Wheat Ridge High School with a score of 7-3.

The Boys Lacrosse Level 3 team remains undefeated with another victory over Wheat Ridge High School with a score of 5-3. Today they play Denver East High School at the Powell Middle school fields at 4:30p.

Attention Girls' Varsity Lacrosse fans....Yesterday at 6:15pm, the final horn sounded on an outstanding performance by the Warriors as they defeated the #2 ranked Air Academy Kadets 11 - 7. Way to play, Warriors!
