General Announcements
Juniors, this is a reminder to bring a calculator and two No.2 non-mechanical pencils for the ACT test that will be taking place next Wednesday, April 27th. If you have not yet registered for the test, you need to stop by the Guidance Office as soon as possible to do so. Room assignments are now posted in the Cafeteria. Please remember cell phones, ipods, or other electronic devices other than approved calculators are not allowed in testing rooms.
There will be a mandatory Senior Class Meeting on Wednesday, April 27, at 10:30am in the theater. Please enter through the East Entrance or Cafeteria.

Attention Warriors, this year’s upcoming Prom will be held at the Wildlife Experience on Saturday April 30. Prom tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria during both lunches starting on Friday April 22. The price of one ticket is $35 ahead of time and $40 at the door. Make sure to get your ticket for this year’s “moon lit serenade”.
Attention Seniors and Juniors: You have just 2 school days to get the 2011 Prom Guest Approval Form into the Attendance office if you plan to bring a guest from another school to Prom or After Prom. These forms are due no later than Tuesday, April 26th at 3:00 p.m.
Up, Up and Away is just around the corner. Hey Arapahoe, come tour the world in Hot Air Balloons in only one short night/morning at After Prom. From the Streets of Paris to the Wilds of Alaska, we will have it all for you. As always, Great Give Aways and a night to remember. Tickets will be on sale in the cafeteria during both lunches.
Hey Juniors and Seniors! Arapahoe’s FCCLA is sponsoring a safe driving campaign all this week. Stop by the table during lunch on April 25th- 29th to sign the “9News Great Hang Up” pledge to not text and drive. By signing the pledge you will receive a reminder thumb band and a piece of candy! 57% of drivers admit to having texted behind the wheel, its time you stopped being one of them. Thanks Warriors!

**If you are signing up for the Fall 2011 Medicine Class, please visit the Science Office and follow the instructions posted outside Mr. Craig’s office.
**If you are going to be a Senior and are interested in taking Chemistry II Physics II, you must receive approval from your Biology teacher. Please visit the Science Department before turning in your schedule cards to get approval.
Have you always wanted to use the school loud speaker? Would you like sharing the Arapahoe news for the day? If you are interested in reading the daily announcements next year, sign up for auditions in the Attendance Office with Mrs. Ayres. Auditions will be held May 4 right after school.
Attention all seniors! The Herald newspaper wants to know what your plans are for next year. Surveys will be passed out in your Social Studies class so that you can be included in the "Senior Section" of the final May newspaper. Surveys are due no later than Friday, April 29. You may return them to the basket in the Social Studies department office, to Mr. Anderson in room E8, or to Sydney Streicher [Striker].
The company class will present the final productions of the year, All in the Timing and Marcus is Walking! The shows will be April 26th and 27th at 7:00pm! Tickets are $3.00 and will be sold in the cafeteria during both lunches.
If you are interested in applying for an AP Science course, the application is online on the individual teacher's website or on the Science web page. All applications are due by Thursday April 28th to be considered for acceptance.
Do you love to dance or perform? Be a part of a winning tradition! The Arapahoe Color Guard is the top color guard in the State, and currently a Back to Back State Champion! We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to be on the 2011/2012 team! If interested, your journey begins on.....Monday May 2nd at 7pm, for the Info Meeting for Students/Parents in the AHS Band Room. Tryout Clinics are Tuesday and Wednesday from 5-7:30pm in the Aux Gym and Tryouts are Friday the 6th from 6-8:30pm! Athletics
Congrats to the girls JV soccer team who defeated Smokey Hill 2 – 0 Thursday. Keep it up ladies.
Congratulations to the Arapahoe Girls Golf team for taking first place at the Air Force Academy Prep invitational last Friday. All four AHS varsity players finished in the top 10. Katy Dyachkova took first place, Claudia Davis was second, Hannah Wood finished in 4th place and Holly Schaefer finished 8th.
Last Friday, the Boys Lacrosse JV-Gold brought defeat to a previously undefeated Golden High School JV team in a lopsided victory 18-4 Arapahoe.
The boys JV Gold Lacrosse plays Kent Denver School tonight at 4:30p at Powell Middle School fields, and then they face Cherry Creek High School Thursday the 28th at 4:30pm at Powell Middle School fields.
The Boys Lacrosse Level 3 team remains undefeated with weekend victories over Golden High School with a score of 4-2, and a victory over Eaglecrest High School with a score of 11-3. The Boys Lacrosse Level 3 team plays Tuesday at 4:30p against Mullen High School at Powell Middle School fields.
